Conceptually, I think it's a neat idea.....their execution sucks. I think it would be cool to have a photo frame - not much wider than normal photo frames - that you could feed a single sheet through and print a photo. Perhaps you could do that by doubling the thickness of the frame (as an example). Doing so wouldn't necessarily increase the overall footprint as this product seems to.
Others might look at your photo frame and say, "Hey, that's a cool pic....I'd like a copy of it." The ability to print a single sheet right there would be nice, but not with such a bulky footprint.
Pull them apart. Mebbe have a special transfer protocol (or not). Leave the photo frame hanging on the wall and have the printer be.... wherever. Then you hit print on the photo frame and it just spits out of some strange location like Back to the Future II.
"Photo frame talks to printer all by itself" is not a bad idea really. Someone's probably already doing that too.
