Studies have shown that europeans are happier.
And as for liberty, well my own country ranks 15 places higher than the US on the world press freedom index (tied for No.1) and also ranks better in other studies for personal liberties.
Regarding the phone, I'll stick to my Hero & my iphone until the HTC Passion comes out. The Acer is just too much compromise.

since he said press freedom tied for first then its definately not the UK thats out. and frankly America is free enough. and HE probably wont ever post his own country because he is too much of a pussy to admit that he is from some shit-hole place, and to get off he has to point out some random fact that his country is better than america. and since when was america the standard to beat? if you are 15 places higher then obviously america isnt the standard and you need to find a different country to put your country up against, OH and who has done this study? because I can survey 20 people and have 15 of them aggree with me and say 15 out of 16 people agree and every dumbass and his dog will suck that shit up like its doctrine. and really here in the good old U.S.A. Obama was campaigning to become president he was scheduled to come to my part of the country and I said man if I see him i'm going to kick that stupid shits ass, and actually one of his security guards overheard me and just simply asked: "seriously why? what has he done to you?" and I replied "nothing I just felt like saying that." in other countries I would have gotten in serious trouble for saying that possibly even killed. so really SHUT THE FUCK UP YOU LAME ASS PUSY!

I work for a US Defence Contractor. I spend roughly half my time
in the US. I've lived full-time in the US in the past.
I just get annoyed when americans assume that they are automatically
superior to other countries. Whether in Sport, Tech or Personal Freedom.

that's the weird thing - a lot of americans are very vocal about how they live in a wonderful free country that's better than anyone else's, even tho' they've never been outside the states and think "asia" is a communistical country
i've never heard/read a finn (which i am) or a person of any other nationality apart from an american state anything similiar
the brits are even the opposite, seeming to whine a lot about what a nanny state they live in these days (or maybe i just watch too much top gear)

@Wikimon I believe it is a 1ghz snapdragon that has been underclocked to save battery. meaning, it can probably be clocked to 1ghz

This thing is ugly, expensive and the processor is underclocked to hte point where it is barely faster than an OMAP3430 anyway. HTCs roadmap is miles ahead. Of course, this one has the advantage of actually shipping right now.
So what the 3G bands? is it coming to the usa?

@Hydra So AT&T is upgrading to 850 bands and this only has 1900. Still it'll probably work with 3G in my area.
Snapdragon finally! Now all you need to do Acer is double the ram, make it look a little bit sleeker, and make a CDMA version.
i don't get why everyone keeps banging on about the droid's looks - imo it looks incredibly boring (tho' probably a brilliant phone)
looks wise, i'd take this one over the droid in a heartbeat

I agree.. I really don't understand the Droid's appeal.. Its specs definitely make it the best one on the market right now (well, now its going to compete with this phone, and the HTC phones early next year) but I think it does look really really plain..
Still, I doubt i'd go for this one.. I'm a whore for HTC Sense, so i'm gonna wait for the roadmap to unfold!

Hmm.. I had this on the short list, but after this rumor about the HTC Bravo/Passion, I'm gonna have to wait and compare.
the htc roadmap doesn't look that great. Once the price comes down on this phone I think I will import it
does anybody know if this is compatible with tmobiles 3g bands?
@kevin460 I believe T-Mobile requires both 1700 and 2100. This phone only has 2100.
There is 3 version, white, black and red. It looks way better in red imo.
