I was amazed with the shortage than even my nearest B&N received a demo unit. It is in Great Falls, MT a town of only about 70,000 population in the middle of nowhere. I have to agree with many reviews that the interface is very unintuitive, but it's like any new gadget, there will be a learning curve. This was also my first time seeing eink paper in action. It reproduces images in greyscale so well, I could not see any banding. The resolution is so good that you cannot see any jaggies or pixelation. Letters were perfectly smooth and well defined making for easy reading.
The device is aimed at gamers and TV watchers, generating a 3D image with use of a pair of 0.7-inch OLED panels, which each display separate images, doing away with the ghost imagery that often comes along with 3D displays.
