MSI's Wind Top AE2220 may have just
started shipping 'round these parts a few weeks ago, but it looks like the company is already set to drop another model on the UK. While it remains mostly identical in appearance, the new Wind Top AE2020 scales things back a bit with a slightly smaller, lower resolution 20-inch, 1,600 x 900 display -- though you do still get the same multitouch functionality as its larger counterpart. Otherwise, you can expect to get an Ion chipset paired with a 2.1GHz Pentium T4300 processor, along with a standard 3GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, a DVD burner, and Windows 7 for an OS, among other standard all-in-one fare. Still no indication of this one making its way over here, but folks in the UK can apparently pick one up right now for £599.
Update: She's on Amazon's US site now as well for
$659.99.
SHABING!
@iroydude no
BINGSHA!
Is it just me, or is that ridiculously expensive for a Pentium rig?
600 pounds= roughly $1000. Damn.
@The Dead Marxist Trio
you are right. 599.00 GBP = 970.348 USD
that is damn expansive for a rig like that. At first i didnt notice that it was pounds.
@The Dead Marxist Trio
You always pay a premium for the AIO form factor, something people often forget when comparing desktops. But your right, you would at least expect a Core 2 Duo in there.
@The Dead Marxist Trio Buying electronics in the UK (and Europe) is more expensive than in the US. For example, PS3 on Amazon UK costs GBP250, or 400USD, whereas in the US it only costs USD300. In the US you'll probably find this for much closer to USD600.
This comes out on the same day that the UK government announces that you get a tax rebate if you own a wind-turbine, coincidence.... yeah.
kudos to MSI for finaly changing thei logo font from the default Times New Roman to something that screams "CRAP" a lot less. but i still wouldn't but from them.
@lebowski You wouldn't buy from a company based on their font of their logo?
That looks a lot like my Apple studio display. Not a bad thing, it's a cool looking display. It it was cheaper it would be a nice mom-puter
@bill cant fart
I was thinking the exact same thing, here is a kind of crappy picture

@bill cant fart
First thing I thought as well, competing with the iMac in the AIO category with an Apple design from years ago ; )
@bill cant fart I was going to mention the same resemblance but then I remembered that on Engadget, you are not allowed to give Apple credit for anything or else you will be labeled a troll and get downranked.
I agree with the others that this looks like an old Apple Cinema display, and I applaud MSI for using one of the most elegant monitor designs ever. Of course, that was launched when the Cube was new, Apple was still a computer maker, and the iPod was just a fragment of our collective imagination.
Otherwise known as the good 'ol days.
Gee, looks exactly like the Apple display from the cube era. I figured I would say it too. We can all get downranked together for giving Apple their credit for influencing nearly everything in the tech industry.
@KillTheApex
"nearly everything" oh yes sir! You are right.
@KillTheApex- Yeah, they have... too bad recently it has been for the worse, not for the better.
@jin and guice
Haters just can't stand a winner.... Thank you for being a typical engadget commentator.
NOOOOO! The mandibles strike back!!!
Apple would have been wise to use this design for their iMacs instead of the hideous things they are today.
