You guys clearly have had way too much Zima.
Does anyone know what happened to the Joystiq crew? There's no podcast and no explanation post.
Vostro (pronounced VO‐stro) comes from the
Latin word for “yours.”
@Mitch
English language speakers have their very own way of pronouncing latin, which probably is not correct, even though it's a dead language and we don't know for sure of course.
So it's still in the open how you pronounce vostro.
@Wwhat I got that from a .pdf from Dell about the Vostro line of computers.
Thanks for not waiting 'till Monday to post this!
I wanna see the interview with Woz
I like it when the podcasts are on time, but I understand that circumstances beyond you guys control do happen. I'm just glad that I can listen to you guys on my WinMo phone.
I though one of the main points of eink was the fact that it only needed power to change the image and no power after that. That way it lasts for days.
@VanVlack12
Good point, but people seem to be able to choose a phone that has 4 hour battery life because it's 'cool' over one that has a battery life of 5 days, so I guess for many that's negotiable.
Plus a LCD without backlight should last a while too, although the angle dependent viewing would make me personally frown on it, but that can be compensated for by using a slower technology instead of TN so the viewing angles are better.
Good job on having Nilay's audio level equal to Josh & Paul's.
Are the cookies ok?
@(Unverified) Only three burnt ones. You want them?
Please for the LOVE of GOD, invest in some POP FILTERS FOR JOSH and NILAY!
How many times are you going to make a joke about needing a noise from a segway? I've heard that in at least 3 pod casts in the past 5 months. Same joke. Every time. Either get your stupid button or stop making that joke. Its lame now.
I have fallen in love with Fusion Garage. I think Arrington did nothing but offer is persona as a selling means, and now he wants a ridiculous amount of profit on the device 50%. I bet Fusion Garage would of offered Arrington a reasonable amount of money (10% or less). Now Arrington is throwing together some bogus and expensive law suit cause he knows Fusion Garage cant afford it, will loose investors and may be forced to Arrington's terms or be forced to go Bankrupt. That is a plausibly scenario.
It is possible to output 1080p video on an Atom processor, it all depends on your OS load. Bluray players have a much lower spec'ed processors then any Atom, but they use realtime OSes. Its possible that Fusion Garage is using realtime Linux (RT Linux). They obviously have a very slimmed down version of linux since they acheived a 9 second boot time.
You guys need someone a little more technical on your podcast for these issues :)
@PrinceAli
They need someone a little more technical in general... I've heard more than a few incorrect statements out of ignorance.
