@ll0yd Yeah, makes NO sense... Unless they're saying that it "supports " it in a way that takes 1080p content and scales it down, but that would be pretty shiesty. Not to mention the fact that my Macbook Pro streams youtube 1080p at like 2 frames a second makes me doubt a superslim tablet (w/ less than 1080p capable resolution) could handle it...unless there really is some "joojoo" going on.
@chtown It probably supports 1080p playback when outputting to an external video source. And you should try the new Adobe flash 10.1 beta to improve flash playback. Flash sucks on OS X.
@ll0yd I thought of that after I read @solidsnake's reply...that and, as he played the 1080p youtube clip, he said it was 1080p - so he was obviously claiming 1080p "local" playback. Plus he looks like an alien.
This thing is a cool "alternabook" worth checking out: http://litl.com/
@RyanM10303 better double check that. according to the reports and the video interview, the available ports are a usb port, a headphone jack, microphone jack, the power jack, and a mystery slot that may or may not be for a 3g sim card in the future.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.

Is anyone else confused by the claim of 1080p support on a display with a resolution of 1366 x 768?

@SolidSnake Makes sense I suppose, and thanks for the tip - I'll check out the beta.
@chtown except for the fact that there's no apparent way to connect to an external display
