The battery-life sucks. What I'd do, and I've noticed no one's brought this up, is turn the wi-fi off and throw some ZSNES/JNES/VBA/Fusion (for the Sega shit) and I'd have the ultimate PSP killer. Also Spelunky. And MAYBE Cave Story, although I'm not too sure that will be handled well at all.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.
