Chevy Volt gets its own song and dance, humanity weeps aloud
And you honestly thought you'd see a decent return-on-investment from bailing these guys out.

I really didn't think it could have ever been that bad...
DAMN, they exceeded my expectations. Now I have to find something to gouge my eyes out with.
This planet is screwed.
why the cheerleaders? get the tree hugging folk dancing people in here NOW
@codebreaker
Hahaha. Greatness.
Chevy if you're noy going to take this seriously then give me back my tax money!
Ahh Volt and Me!
BTW isn't that Hairo Torres?
I just left my Yukon running outside my house for an hour to try to kill the planet b/c if buying a volt increases the chance that more of these performances are made, then forget green, go black!
Welcome to the *NEW* GM folks.
As a taxpayer I'm a part owner in GM, so GM... YOU'RE FIRED!
Good news gentlemen, we’ve found our new engadget dancers. The wife says the young hipsters will love them.
Have they gone all metric yet or do I still save 50% on tools by only buying foreign?
For crying out loud, Chevrolet, you're supposed to try to SELL the things!
Please kids, stay in school!
I liked the rhyme of "here" with "idea-r"...
"E" for "eccentricity"
"H" for pure hilarity ...
the best part was at 2:23
2 scenes from 2 shows come to mind when I saw this chevy vid:
scene 1: Phoebe Buffet from Friends singing "Smelly Cat"
scene 2: Stewei from family guy in the vomit gig scene, when he cries "I don't wanna, I don't wanna ..." and then pukes.
Rubbish electric car marketing... EV1 all over again?
Good thing the taxpayers payed for overweight cheerleaders and a rookie breakdancer. When do they get another bailout? Send Donnie Osmond next time.
...you're shitting me.
ALL THAT BAILOUT MONEY AND YOU COME UP WITH THAT SHIT!?!?!
W....T.....F.......
well its always good to see that skimming the comments saves me a few minutes and i can avoid having to stand in line to get my click returned to me.
lame!!
could be on southpark... but out, yeah, yeah!
Ed Begley Jr. now has an answer to the question "Who killed the electric car?" Holy crap, that was bad.
I see a few jobs created or saved by the stimulus package.
Needs more of the red/brunette head.
mad skillz
The sad thing is this disaster had to make it past numerous marketing execs and the like before even materializing.
It amazes me that no one raised their hand in the meetings and said, "This is really lame guys."
this makes microsoft employees dancing much better !!!!!!
//wrists //wrists //wrists //wrists!!!!!!!!
i don't get it, what were they trying to accomplish...?
Did I just get served?
hey, a dancer's gotta eat too.....
....especially in these recession times
I want my taxes back.
The song was actually catchey, but the dancers didn't go with it. When the guy came on screen I lost it, lol. After a while it actually wasn't that bad. Possibly I went brain dead? But seriously, the song wasn't that bad.
I'm not sure how they were able to perform.. it was embarrassing to watch!
It's good, actually. How much more can you expect from a live performance at a trade show? At least they didn't hire a bunch of booth babes to stand around the car - I've always thought that's a tasteless strategy. I like the song a lot actually and wouldn't mind hearing it used in a Volt commercial, but more artsy like Honda or Toyota.
Looks like Chevy deserved to die....
Wow. That was the longest 2:23 seconds of my LIFE. It was really bad - not because of who was dancing, but because of what they were dancing to. How did this happen? Who let this happen? I want a formal inquiry :P
Were doomed! DOOMED!!!
You know, I always thought that I was gonna get a Chevy Volt.......till I fell in love with the Tesla S.....now Chevy, Toyota, and any other car company trying to get in the EV business can kiss my grass. There's nothing sexier than going ALL electric, and doing it in complete luxury and style the way Tesla does complete EV's!
"This commercial is proudly brought to you by the American petroleum industry."
This is what happens when you let old cheerleaders try to relive their glory days.
Wow... *blink**blink*
shoulda got the jabawakies
Not sure which marketing campaign is worse. The Microsoft & Sienfield adds, or this.
I don't know what's worse... Chevy Volt dance, or Microsoft store dance?
