Even 'if' the iPhone does finds its way to Verizon, there will still be a suitable number of consumers who take issue with buying into the Apple madness (completely closed/limited system, tyrannical app approval process, and the fact that the iPhone lost much of its 'cool factor' when it became as common as Toyota Camrys), and will be very happy with the Palm Pre.
Personally, I find the Pre to be a brilliant device that just needs a few tweaks (microSDHC expandability ?) and a larger network/customer-base.
@Neros Fiddle I don't care what the rumors say, Apple isn't going to make a CDMA iPhone. That's just not their style, to maintain two of the same product only differentiated by the radio.
The rumored tablet might use CDMA, but I highly doubt the iPhone will.
Now, an LTE iPhone on the other hand, when that comes around (2011, most likely), will definitely have a great shot of going to Verizon.
Now that we've thrown 'em off the trail, use the form below to get in touch with the people at Engadget. Please fill in all of the required fields because they're required.
These are just death throws. Pre may be heading to Verizon but so is the iPhone. Ooops. Bye-bye Palm.
@Neros Fiddle: I seriously doubt Apple is making a CDMA iPhone.
" but so is the iPhone."
Does not compute.

@Neros Fiddle - "death throws" ? What the hell are they?

@Neros Fiddle
You listed an appleinsider article as your source?
Until Verizon or Apple say that's happening, this are just rumors.
@Goc
*these.
Why isn't there and edit button?
