is bound to be an heirloom one day. The listing here is for Ben's
PS3 Slim laptop -- the one modded from a 17-inch Gateway 1775w LCD with a 1280 x 720 pixel resolution -- and its currently at around

It's obviously worth it for a lot of people, but I would hope a large amount of Stan's profits go to charity, or Ben Heck, or both!
Feels kinda disrespectful to sell something made by someone who put so much effort into and that you were lucky enough to win...no true gamer here
Its nice but not worth the bidding price for what it is at now and how much more it may climb... I'd rather buy a new PS3 and laptop for half the price.

And the question "why sony and ms didn't contract ben heck? is simple :because this and almost all of the rest of the mods are, by design, faulty at best. In this case :the weight, the price and the usability. May be this device can be cool in a lan party or may be to show to some friends but nothing else much.

I very much agree with what Ben said in the video, more people should get into this sort of thing; the world would be way cooler if we had more hardware as well as software modders - that way the possibilities are limitless.

Update the Item Number in the link to 330391804986. This is disgusting that someone like him won it and is selling it for $2000. Absolutely sick. Why wouldn't he donate it to someone less fortunate, or even if he wants to sell it....2g's? I mean Ben Heck must be proud as hell, but I'm sure he'd be pissed off if some lil kid who didn't want it, won it and is selling is wayyyyyy beyond what it should be worth. Whatever, the kid must just be a lonely lil' prick.
