MSI planning to a show dual-screen e-reader, 3D laptop at CES
We don't have too many details here, but we sure are itching to get to Vegas to see if MSI really does have a dual-screen, Tegra-powered e-reader up its sleeve. Let's have it MSI: are you stealing another page from your Taiwanese arch-nemesis ASUS and its dual-screen Eee Reader? Regardless, Digitimes reports that not only will it show a dual-screen gadget of sorts, but also one with a slate form factor. More believable is the 3D laptop that the Taiwanese company is said to be prepping. Let's just hope they have gone with NVIDIA's 3D Vision technology there. It's only a matter of hours now until we find out about it all.

Poke. I touched it!!
if it were MSI, why the screenshot shows 'ASUS' on the prototype?
btw, I just need one screen for reading, thanks, I dont need the 2nd one or the extra weight that comes with it.
engadget why do you like 3d vision so much it's awful when compared to passive polarized and way more cost effective and with less eyestrain
@yuriythebest
How is passive polarization any more cost effective? It requires a special display too... At least with active shutters, you benefit from having a 120hz+ display when not using the 3D.
@Vdek it comes into play when you accidentally sit or loose the expensive 3d vision glasses, while polarized glasses cost like 10$
@yuriythebest
Yes, but you still need an expensive display capable of displaying the polarized images. On top of that, you also have to deal with a Display which will most likely not have as high of a contrast ratio when used without the polarized glasses.
Besides, sitting on the glasses? Really?
The folding two screens will help protect the device. With one screen, you are going to need a case to carry it around in. But what software will it run? I could see toolbars and menus on one screen and content on the other.
I wonder if the piece of tape holding the two sides together is replaceable.
Dyslexic heading: "planning to a show dual-screen"
They apparently forgot to put up the sign that reads "Don't smear with some weird white-ish crap!!!!"
I'm definitely looking forward to a 3D laptop, my 2D one keeps slipping through the floorboards
