You know the old saying -- as LG does, so does Samsung -- so it doesn't come as much of a surprise that Sammy's swinging in today with a
ATSC Mobile DTV announcement following
LG's a few days ago (of course, it helps that both companies worked were actively working on the technology for a couple years, too). There are some interesting parallels here; LG basically transplanted a boob tube tuner into its
Lotus, while Samsung elected to take its Android-powered
Moment and retrofit the new circuitry. It's little more than a proof of concept for now, but by the end of the quarter, Sprint and Samsung look to roll out trial units to customers in Baltimore and Washington, DC. Productivity: you're on notice.
What about my Samsung Moment?? Will they sell a separate antenna or what?
@liftedngifted1
Neither, the ones sold on Sprint don't have the chip. don't expect anything soon.
I'm confused...is it a new phone, or is it just a moment without a keyboard?
it is just a modded Moment...altho they do plan on making some trial units for beta testing.
It's gonna take more than specs alone to dethrone the iPhone.
@logic thinker
lol what does this article have anything to do with the iPhone??? Have you been saving this to use it or something cus this is not even the right time.
@ZeRoCo0L
Indeed, looks like a Nexus 1 ripoff to me ;)
No love for Chicagoan Sprint users? I don't get why it's always Baltimore and DC. We have more users here anyways.
once again Sprint wastes time and money on phones PEOPLE DONT WANT while failing to provide phones PEOPLE DO WANT... idiotas maximus
@(Unverified), certainly cheaper than VW, AT&T, pero vamos Sprint, que haceis?
Give me a big, more powerful battery, then I might care.
Hmm not bad. A mini LED TV!
