HP Notebook Projection Companion stuffs a little bit of projection into a little bit of a projector

We spotted the "Companion" doing its thing in a relatively dimly lit room, and it certainly is a jump beyond a pico projector -- it's almost completely usable, in fact. We'd still probably prefer a large laptop screen for watching a movie, but if you've got to share a presentation or an experience, you could probably do worse than this $499 unit. It ships on January 15th.

loving the size, nice simple design too.
Its the same as the dell M109S. http://accessories.us.dell.com/sna/products/Projectors/productdetail.aspx?c=us&l=en&cs=19&sku=224-0939
Even looks the same. LAME(unless it's cheaper, in which case, YAY!)
@versii Same strange res too.
@versii but the put the connectors on the side. and the HP one is listed at 100 lumens the dell is listed at 50. I own the dell and the original pocket projector the mitsubishi, I love the fact that the mitsubishi can be battery powered (I have 3 batteries all bought off amazon for less than $20) but the dell is a good deal brighter, if the HP one is actually 2x as bright as the dell it will be quite a device.
Who actually uses these?
just curious - in my experience a lot of business conference rooms have projectors - if not fixed in place then at least available for use.
Its only really reasonable for a presentation with 4-8 people - less and you can just use the lap, more and its too small a projected screen (or too dim.
I guess I'm just having a hard time seeing the benefit over a cheap and small 1000 lumen projector for the same price - many are actually rather light and there are definitely bags made specifically to hold a projector and laptop - I know at least 2 people who have one.
100 Lumens? Led Based...
Hmmm still too expansive though...
