Rollei rolls out Flexline 100 inTouch digital camera

Well, isn't this the cutest thing you've seen since Macaulay Culkin slapped his cheeks in Home Alone? Rollei's just outed its latest digital camera offering, the slim little (15.6-mm) Flexline inTouch. This wonder-inducing little guy boasts a 10 megapixel CCD sensor, 3x optical zoom, face detection, plus integrated image-processing feature for on-the-go retouching. It's also got a great-looking 3-inch LCD touchscreen display and can take up to 30 shots per second. It'll be available in blue, silver, and glittery metallic pink (hooray!), and you can get one this month for about €199 -- or about $286. There's one more captivating shot after the break.

Calling this minimalist would be an understatement. Or would it be an exaggeration? Damn double negatives.
Good effort from Rollei-yet no sign of a US release
I like Laura, it's like a refreshing touch of disney and ketchup at every mention of pink glitter!
So if it takes 30 shots per second, can we just go ahead and say that it shoots video at 30 fps?
For lefties?
Not another point-and-shoot *rolls eyes"
You can get it on Amazon.de for 150€...
Why doesn't Apple license the full iPod Touch OS to camera makers so you get proper optics - plus a slick intuitive interface, all the apps - and WiFi to upload photos to your various cloud bases? (Or Apple could license optics from a lens maker, add a Xenon flash and make their own iCamera.) Either way, this Rollei is a great camera for the elderly.
Looks very much like a TEVION touchscreen that Aldi offers or offered in some countries like here in Australia
Aldi in Australia offered a touchscreen which had the same interface as the Rollei recently-http://www.topbargains.com.au/s/aldi-touch-screen-camera-179-only
What an awesome opening comment!!
"Well, isn't this the cutest thing you've seen since Macaulay Culkin slapped his cheeks in Home Alone?"
I love it!!
Wasn't Rollei an ultra-premium brand back in the day (sub-Hasselblad, but in that same vein)?
Has the brand been sold to the Chinese or something?
@(Unverified) I have no clue what you mean by this...
Because they've made a product that appeals to a broader demographic, they no longer qualify is a high-end camera/lens producer ?
@Davin Black
Well, it's just unusual. Most premium brands wouldn't dilute their image in this way. Example, even though Bang & Olufsen products aren't all that special, they feel they can command uber-bucks for them based on their name (and design, of course). If they were to sell a phone or stereo for $200, it would be the end of their raison d'étre (not saying they have one).
Shouldn't this be grouped with "Crapgadget" category?
@David Susilo Yup... This thing looks like if fell out of the bargain bin looking at the front (and even then, the only nice thing about the back is the actual screen).
