Alienware M11x hands-on
So here it is, the M11x -- probably the closest you'll probably ever see Alienware get to a netbook, at least in size. You might actually be able to pull off some extended gaming sessions on the 11-inch screen -- it's certainly a crisp enough screen, from the time we spent with it -- but the real selling point here is plugging it up to an external monitor for your FPS / RTS / MMO needs and using it solo for productivity purposes. Of course it's a good bit heavier than other portables of the same size, but what do you expect with all it's trying to pack in?

I would totally buy one if it didnt look like someone put it through a blender.
haha that must be a big blender

I'm sold. I've found my laptop.
some surfing around the net turned up that it DOES have some sort of core 2 duo. no idea about the ram or hdd specs. the graphics will be done by a GT335m which is actually pretty nice from the way MW2 runs. Either way, it'l be a HUGE step up from my 14" XPS 1330 with a 8400mGS card.
whoops, two posts above me has good specs.
I plan on ordering this soon, it seems to get a good machine it's gonna be $999.
CPU upgrade to the C2D ($799 included Pentium.)
Ram upgrade to 4 gigs ($799 is 2 gigs)
HD upgrade to 7200 ($799 is 5200)
Total of upgrades - $200
Still the hot switchable GPU and ability to play current and future MMO's (Which is mainly what I play) is a must buy for me.
