PS2 also had motion sensing before Wii
@MoonWalkerCTE except that the controller looks nothing like a sixaxis and a Wiimote is a far for relevant comparison. i was just making a comment that was equally as pointless and smug as your initial one.

Not owning a Wii myself, I don't know how shooters perform with this sort of controller setup. Can someone who has experience in Wii shooters enlighten me? Would this possibly be better than keyboard + mouse?

maybe for casual gamers this will be a nice edition, but for hardcore gamers it would be useless imo
@Pedobear, agreed. Now screen on a gun on the other hand will be amazing if and when it gets released.

I love my keyboard + mouse for my fps games since it provides max precision and well... let's face it, we're all used to it so why switch now?
I DO want these controllers however assuming some game developers release some nice fun/light games like those available on the Wii (mostly sports -- ping pong, archery).... you know, intuitive stuff.
Casual games never been played by my kids on a PC PC more like Online gaming or hardcore gaming.
even the Wii the lest used device at home.
wouldn't perfecting and packaging a Wiimote, a usb bluetooth key, and Windows software have achieved the same thing years ago?

I agree up to a point. Watching the video though, it looks like this is FAR more responsive than a wiimote is. The wiimote is only accurate when you're pointing. When the accelerometer has to do work, it sucks. IMO anyway.
i like how they actually implemented sword movement rather than just having it attack by waggle.
It will get old for some people just like wii did

Avoid! Their products are built very poorly and the support is abysmal.

That's completely untrue. I've used plenty of mice, keyboards and headsets from Razer in my time and they are all fantastic.

@Jonny that is entirely wrong. i have 3 Razer mice, a keyboard, mousepad and a headset. i bought 2 mice refurb and you would never be able to tell the difference. please explain how they are built poorly.

That's a negative. My Razer Mako is superb, my Deathadder is superb, and my Tarantula is superb.
But the Razer sound card's driver support sucked (AC1), along with their original surround headphones (HP1). Steer clear of these two old Razer products and you won't be able to find a better gaming peripheral company.

I had a Razer mouse which developed a faulty cord connection, sent it back to Razer and it was replaced no questions asked.
(Razer have since upgraded their cords, but this appeared to be an issue with the connection near or inside the mouse.)
When you pay good money for quality products, you certainly get your money's worth with Razer.
I have a razer mouse and I love it yet I have a g15 keyboard and it also works great but this looks like a cool concept
At $40 I'd buy one, and if it's judges OK in testing a second one too, this is the first controller that make zombie games seem playable, and it's universally usable, and you can also use it for hacks you think up yourself, so not too bad at all.
Of course although promised $39.95 I expect seeing it's razer for it to be actually 90 in the shop, and that will kill the deal.

@Wwhat and US$5 international postage (excluding the free postage day specials) is too hard for you?
When I said shops I included online, I mean the actual retail price once it's actually released, I just find razer devices to not be the cheapest around, although now that logitech went silly they overtook them in that regard, anyway I fear the suggested price might not be the actual price, from ANY salespoint.
And I wonder, even if it is $39.95 would you need a separate receiver/charger, for another $60? I mean I doubt they include one with every controller since the video shows you sort of need 2, although they could use an USB charging system and existing bluetooth, but maybe they won't, BT 2.0 and before has some lag issues after all and they might insist on a propriety receiver, and although you can get BT dongles for $6 and wifi dongles for the same I'm guessing to expect a separate receiver is $10 or less is insanely optimistic.
So yeah, I fear the whole cost-point might rise too much in the end.
But hope springs eternally and maybe it's not too bad in the end.
