Well, we're hearing this morning -- from Eldar Mertazin -- that Samsung's upcoming
Bada S8200 and
Galaxy2 specs may well match the Nexus One. Nothing solid, of course, but it would seem they'll both be running the
Snapdragon at 1GHz, feature 3.7-inch WVGA AMOLED touchscreens, WiFi, GPS, HSPA, and 5 megapixel cams. The Galaxy2 will purportedly ring in at €450 (roughly $650) and the S8200 in the €400 ($575) range. So with that -- admittedly slim -- bit of info out of the way, all we can do is just sit back, relax, and wait for Samsung's boasting to begin.
full qwerty keyboard? if so and comes to sprint then i will get it.
@danhawk911 Um.........would you have any other choice!
@1ofdakoolkidz Yeah It could be a Vertical slider(portrait) with Compact Keyboard.
+1 for the original poster.

@immortal clone er noway big is gay it was just a joke about Sopranos
Bada bing bada boom, I've got a Galaxy2?
Well I'll be waiting for more info on this, sounds interesting.
Galaxy2 will still run Android right, or did they move that to the BadaOS for the update?
How is the hideous device in the photo related to the post? Isn't it a bit too early to defame a potential iPhone challenger?
@TareG
Low rank it... the hideous device is actually the phone.
Is this coming out for sprint
I don't know how they can boast, if they're pricing it that much higher than Nexus One.
@gerrrg
They are cheaper.
Nexus is about +500€.
Both cheaper than Nexus, hhmm...
@Paullll
clearly says $650 and $575 range. Nexus one is $530...
@notafanboy
Clearly says European prices. Nexus is $750 in Europe.
wow another OS in the already crowded market! yay!!
@nelagster That's like saying:
"wow another Automaker in the already crowded market! yay!!" - Smart
"wow another DSLR Manufacturer in the already crowded market! yay!!" - Nikon Vs Canon vs Sony vs Panasonic vs etc.
"wow another Cereal Brand in the already crowded market! yay!!" -Recess Puffs
"wow another Laprop in the already crowded market! yay!!" -Acer
"wow another Console in the already crowded market! yay!!" -On-Live
etc.
Competition is a GOOD thing. Don't try to convince your self otherwise.
seems like samsung will gain some share of the market with this if they dich touchwiz. this could be the start of something new for the company if they commit reasonable amount of resources to it. this could become a major player like apple, google et al, while MS sleeps. good luck to samsung.
While HTC and Motorola have announced that they will update most/all of their phones to 2.1, Samsung has stated that the Galaxy will remain at 1.5 forever. Given this precedent, I wouldn't touch the Galaxy2 with a 10-foot pole, no matter how much cheaper than the Nexus it turns out to be.
doesn't matter how good the spec is, if the UI/OS of the phone is not optimized, users will only find it annoying and laggy. last time i checked, bada wasn't running android...as of galaxy i don't know. This is where Korean phones like LG/Samsung have the most problems with. beautiful designs, sloppy UI. They need to put more effort in the user interface like Android/Apple UI's.
deal could be better than nexus if subsidized unlike the forced tmobile plan, but interest depends on the OS running
This phone will suck. I hate it
will be seen at CeBit ... hopefully ;) ...... seems their bada brand has already been registred in germany by another party for the same products :D remembers me of the g-mail and google chrome os problem ;) but will stick to the android anyway....
