Hey! Don't run away just because this here display has
3D in its name -- it's optional don't you know. Sony is showing off its 24.5-inch OLED television here at CES, and we have to admit to being blown away once more by the sheer vibrancy and clarity of the output. The jump from the 15-inch panels that are still
very sparsely available in retail channels is most welcome. We can totally envision spending our happily ever after with one of these screens serving all of our visual needs, 3D or otherwise. Sony's reps couldn't tell us
when these will make it to market, but the pics below should whet appetites appropriately.
@Futbolkeeper
Damn too many that's... well I ain't no English major.
Isn't the porn industry the first to jump on this type of tech? I'm not sure I want to see what is coming.

HA HA!!
Double entendre!
Isn't there 3D technology where you don't have to wear glasses of any sort? I thought the TV industry would maybe move toward that.
@thisisweaksauce I've seen one and it was pretty bad, very fuzzy and disorienting. It also depends highly on you watching it from the right angle and distance
@thisisweaksauce Autostereoscopic viewing causes a lot of headaches if not done perfectly. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Autostereoscopy
Yeah, the Panasonic 20k 3D model is here.
Jenna Jameson's Parts in 3D, you know it's cumming.
@RupanIII and she is cumming that is where they go back and now release tv that releases the scent of the scene. Ha ha imagine trying to explain that one to some walking in.
Bring on bigger oled screens. Then I will be happy.
@danhawk911
Simple fix: get a smaller home.
I'm actually all for this 3D TV thing.
No, I still think it's a stupid fad that'll end in tears for HDTV manufacturers, but I'll be happy to see 3D TV proceed on its merry road to epic failure because it'll push down prices of other non-3D TVs.
Bargain basement priced Samsung 2D LED TV, come to papa!
Looks like a fish tank with a Polar Bear in it...
That looks amazing. I'm impressed.
OHHHHLED!
Should i care if a 3d tv comes with the 3d technology integrated or require a separate emitter? is there a difference in performance that i should be worried about?.
Samsung, Sony and Panasonic has my mind boggling over who to choose. Maybe not Panasonic because im a little wary when it comes to plasma televisions. but both samsung and sony are about neck and neck.
samsung tv has integrated 3d with an awesome remote that streams other channels to it and netflix streaming within the tvs online features.
Sony has 240 Hz LED display 3d playback (with an emitter).
sony' blu ray players has netflix streaming capabilities and iphone remote.
oh.....and i like the design of the Panasonic 3d glasses the most.
So it sounds like i should get a Samsung LED with Sony Bluray player and Panasonic 3d glasses....
but before i decide i need not specs on samsungs and sony tvs.
help me out here.
Thats no polar bear, its a Hoth Wompa from Empire Strikes Back! !!!
THIS IS WHAT I WANT OLED!!!!
