Panasonic's 152-inch plasma dwarfs all who stand in its way

When we told you all about the new Panasonic 152-inch 4k 3D plasma we were totally guessing about just how big it would look in real life. So of course we all had to head over to the Panasonic booth and pose for shots (there's a few more shots after the break) to get an idea of just how big it is. As you can see the thing is just massive and while we'd love to have one of these, even if we could afford to buy it, it is very unlikely it'd fit in our living room. We're sure you agree when we say that those silly little details won't get in the way of our dreams.

@RCAQ Cheap 4K projector which can produce such contrast and brightness? Hmmm....
And projectors need an uninterrupted view and a pole/platform to sit on, it's not quite the same.
I want one
Can I price match at Best Buy?
are u freakin kidding me...152" of awesomeness...woah...i only got three words...I NEED M$NEY
it would cost as much as the TV does to relocate the thing to your living room! Remove the windows, and tilt it, with 6 guys helping? maybe. or lift the roof up with a crane and lower it in with a second crane. Or build the house around the TV, and hope the contractors don't steal it. Impossible pretty much.
@TiiiMMMaHHH Houses that these things go in have 12 ft high double doors in the entrance foyer. Also having been one of 6 guys moving a 130" once upon a time, I am guessing you would want 8 or so on this monster.
I project 120" in my basement at a measly 1024x768 and it looks great for games and HDTV - I can't imagine 152" at 4k in 3D... WOW!
(how do I get unverified off my name off my ID?)

You have to login on the top of the page and confirm the registration email.
don't be ridiculous, a tv that big can't possibly exist. it's really a 32 inch and the guy is really small.
mmmmmmm porn
In other 152" diagonal news...
in keeping with a storied HDTV tradition and despite having plenty of space to work with, engineers worked hard to ensure that the soundbar on this tv still sucks as much as all the other LCD's
Actually, this guy is 8 inches tall and is standing in front of a 22 inch wide screen lcd.
@(Unverified) hahaha.
I would hate to see a John Holmes film on this thing
I think this type of system could really help theaters expand business to new and open air environments. It may not be the 'true' theater experience, but then you could bring a number of environments to the same theaterplex.
damn this thing makes my 72" samsung DLP look small.. :(
But can you play crysis on it?
sorry...I should be banned for that comment...please go back to your regularly scheduled program
Hmmm after looking at the second picture it really doesn't look like something that would be too big in anyones living room... where's my credit card, I'm in for 2!
I think you have it wrong... if you could afford this then I'm sure it would fit in your living room, or screening room, or game room, or den, or 2nd master suite or.....
You guys forget, Neil Patrick Harris has one of these on How I Met Your Mother.
That would fit just fine on my living room wall. Now I can get rid of the 2-story 40 year old wrought iron tree that's on it now. But if viewing distance is apx 7 ft for a 50"er, that would mean I have to watch this from the swimming pool. And last night it was -1°. The sacrifices we make for technology.
Man, this dwarfs my 126" screen, and that is a projector screen, not an actual display!! There is no way if I could afford it, I could ever get it down to my basement without demolishing the floor though......
Make sure the Home Shopping Network guys don't go demonstrating the Nintendo Wii on that! :)
Huge! I want :P
yeah I need that to preview my 4K content. no wait, about 9K.
ha ha ha
this is getting insane.
either way that monster is perfect for the wall in my living room
:)
