Ok so am I the only one who thinks this is lame? I'm just not getting it. Maybe it's the music. I'm not one for much rap music much less really bad Japanese rap music...
@SFgadgetman I was thinking the same.... Music is terrible, they could have used a heavier beat. Then this robot is just repeating the same moves over and over... so what, some guy programmed a bunch of small motors and they dressed them in a red hoodie.
This does not make it a robot yet. It's just a pre-programmed toy moving to a single track. Change the music and the dance won't change.
I love technology but I'm sorry, this is lame.
@SFgadgetman Agreed. I would find this much more compelling if the robot actually looked like it was dancing with the music. This just looks like a robot demonstrating some dance moves while there happens to be music playing.

totally, and they should've got at least a dancer and/or an animator to help with programming the movements. just seems a little too generic and random.

I thinkthat this, more than any of the "dancing robots" videos show how far robotics have come. I'm impressed with how smooth it moves and how little it fell over.
We won't have robot overlords. They'll be too busy rocking it out.
