Manoi Go break-dancing robot blows our minds
We've got no idea how this nugget of glorious mechanized boogie snuck past us -- we'll blame it on the horror we experienced while watching Doka Harumi's robot dance routine. Another entrant in that same Japanese robo-dance contest, this red-blazered drone brings the pain, the funk, and all necessary accessories to rock your world. We're not kidding -- if you don't like this, you don't like technology. Skip past the break for not one, but two doses of that mind-altering video action.

Am I the only one who is disappointed after seeing that he has a spinning platform on the top of his head? That is a really unfair way to do the spin on your head move.
Bender?
Fabulous. One day, robots will be able to do everything that humans could do. Japanese robotic technology now goes far and away.
I for one welcome our new break dancing robot overlords...
Well that was cool for the first minute and a half (really, it was.) Then I got bored. Please engadget, stop telling people how to think. I get enough of that from the Republicans.
@Steve2000 I couldnt watch 4 whole minutes of it....the splits freaked me out...lol
@SFgadgetman no i thought it was lame too..the head trick was cute then i got bored.
@Steve2000
Not funny
@yulebellow No shit Sherlock. I wasn't trying to be funny. That's what I hate about most of the commenters on this site, everyone thinks he's a comedian.
@Steve2000 I am a comedian...
very cool. me want one.
That punk-ass kittybot just got SERVED!
A critical part of Skynet is now ONLINE, it only needs the nuclear launch codes now from North Korea.
is that Freddy Krueger? that could just be Krueger's reincarnation or Jason Voorhee's reincarnation?
Whoever built this, deserves a Nobel Peace prize.
Simply A-M-A-Z-I-N-G !!!
Haha who says you've got to be stiff to do the robot? This cylon has some sweet moves! I really like it when he spins on his head without needing any momentum to get started haha. Now if he could only shoot lasers out of his eyes while spinning, it would be the perfect weapon. Wow and amaze your enemies and then just when he starts to spin... ZzZap!!! :D XD
Hah 2:46 = FAIL. The lil' bugger eats it pretty good. I'm not sure if the robot is as impressive as the Japanese rap though. My brain was telling me not to dance, but my hips just wouldn't listen...
Robo Dances better than me, but I could not keep my eyes on it, I kept on wanting to get a better look at the hot babe in the background. Sorry.
There needs to be a humans vs robots post-apocalyptic dance-off movie.
Ah Homer. Brilliant. Seriously though the tech to balance this little dude is awsome.
how did they make Micheal Jackson smaller and creepier?
lol It got nothing on Nicklas the NERD
I for one welcome our new break-dancing robot overlords.
Meh.
Seen it done before, bought the tee-shirt etc etc.
Reminded me of those awful old CGI choreography attempts from about 10-20 years ago, you know, the non-mocap'd ones. A bit stiff and not very lifelike.
And yes I know this isn't CGI its a real robot.
So Engadget, I guess I don't like Technology.
They could have dressed it a little more stylish. The head looks like a mask from the movie Halloween.
When SkyNet takes over, we're guna get served
These videos are 2 minutes too long.
Haha thats awesome!
:/ repetitive Japanese rap dance music...*sigh* I will make robot that dances to Achy Breaky Heart. Take that Japan! O_o
