Sony WHG-SLK1 iPod shelf system surfaces at CES
Sony doesn't seem to have gotten around to an official announcement for this one just yet, but its WHG-SLK1 iPod shelf system was on hand at CES 2010, and the folks at Sony Insider managed to get a quick peek at it. Designed as much for video as for audio, this one packs a fairly large 9-inch screen front and center, and promises a full 100W of power, along with an iPod dock, a built-in DVD player, a USB port, and accommodations for both Memory Sticks and SD cards. You'll also get video in/out ports to connect other devices or connect the system itself to a larger screen, but there's unfortunately no indication of a price or release date.

oh dear Sony, I still remember your line-up of MD players from not too long ago
@kongmw
MD made a freaking fortune. Things do succeed in other countries, you know. It was a massive success for Sony. Everyone wants to point to a trend, but MD isn't part of a trend.
That said, I do not care about yet another ipod dock. Not saying it shouldn't be covered here, but it's just lame to me. Can I slap on a fastdock connected Sony player? Does it remote control a PSP or use DLNA with a PS3? If not, why not?
This will do well...
Sony put too many of their logos on that product. Just have the one light-up one in the middle!
@Oliver Taylor
A logo on each speaker is standard practice. They do come off easily, but I don't think you are meant to leave the speakers next to the system in all cases.
I reckon that'd look pretty cool on top of a fireplace mantle.
Looks pretty, but no walkman support?
Wow. If the fascia were aluminum, B&O would need to mobilize their legal department.
