Autsch! In light of the
recent attacks on Google China and Microsoft's revelation that an
Internet Explorer security flaw served as an impetus in the assault, Germany's Federal Office for Information Security has released a warning to its population: avoid IE. Specifically, the report calls out the latest three versions -- 6, 7, and 8 -- but let's face it, those older versions should be avoided on grounds of usability alone. Boy, bet the Bonn-based agency is happy about that Windows 7
web browser ballot screen, eh?
@TraceySnik - BS. Our government in Germany is simply out to increase tax revenue and keep bullying big corporations that funnel money into the United States until they ensure that they get their piece of the pie.
No more, no less.
Even if you hate Microsoft and IE specifically, you should never condone the ever increasing powers and tax revenue that the German government (doesn't seem to matter which party) grants itself every year. Eventually, you'll get sick and tired of it and move to the US where people bitch and moan and don't realize how many more freedoms from government control you have here.
@Anticrawl
"but setup correctly IE8 is the best right outta the box"
...sorry, new 'funniest' comment ;D
For you ze Browse War is over.
@Ducman69
If your gonna reply to my point then reply to my point. But please, spare me your half assed conspiricy theories.
@TraceySnik Your stated that Apple is insignificant portion of the market, and I acknowledge and don't contest that.
And a conspiracy is by definition something that is secret... and its no secret. Double-fail; do not pass go, do not collect $200 from Microsoft.
Should've said Browser.
FU Germany and the EU. I support only IE. Chrome, Safari, Firefox can all suck it. The only browser that works right everytime for me is IE. Firefox locks up constantly and Chrome is so broken it's not funny. I am just glad I live in America, I couldn't handle living in a country like Germany that produced historys greatest monster but yet tells other countries what to do. Other countries make fun of America until they need our help then they cry till we help them. How many times have we saved Frances butt?
@bigd7387
I often wonder who would be dumb enough to use IE in this day and age. Then I read a post like yours, and realise that there is still a huge market out there for them.
Go back to your trailer park you redneck racist.
Better Yet All nations of the Universe 100% Avoid all past, current and future version of IE at all costs
@siouxmoux : So, even if future IE versions are actually leagues better than the competition? That's a dumb move.
@Dumbass69
"@TraceySnik Your stated that Apple is insignificant portion of the market, and I acknowledge and don't contest that."
Er... no I didn't. You seem to be in denial of reality. You need a doctor not a pc.
Maybe though, you do have a point. No software/hardware combination in the world is going to protect someone like you from themselves or whatever microsoft tell you to buy. Do you have a zune? ;D
Some researchers have found more vulnerabilities in Internet Explorer which hackers could exploit and use to remotely access personal data on people’s computers. This may lead to several more security updates being released.msafi.com
