@bradsh And before anyone goes off on a rant about how android has multitouch, that IS ridiculous. It doesn't. 99.99% of the apps don't have it, and none of the stock apps have it (which is where it is needed most, as those apps are used the most). Whether it has it in some other country is irrelevant to me. For me, Android does not have multitouch.
@bradsh Sure, but the Nexus One doesn't have it yet either, at least not until the FULL 2.1 is pushed OTA. (Remember, 2.1 isn't officially out yet until 2nd week of Feb, 2010)
Some people will always find something to complain about. It doesn't have multitouch. It doesn't have exchange calendar sync. It doesn't wipe my ass. For some reason I don't recall hearing the whining about how the iPhone didn't have a camcorder, or cut and paste, or mms capability for the longest time. At least Android is making these things work through OTA updates and making you buy a whole new device (ie 3GS) to get the capability.
Ummm, yes it does...my droid does multi-touch just fine. What because you have to take one extra step and install the software to do it it doesn't exist....how freakin lazy!
@bradsh I believed these guys when they said its in the marketplace. aside from dolphin what else has it? there isn't even a multitouch rom available yet. so yeah it doesn't have multi-touch.
@Webcat Actually, there was a lot of complaining about the iPhone not having said features. Especially on biased apple blogs. They just said that alll phones that didn't have said features weren't worth getting. Which is stupid. But so was your post.
For those looking for a device strictly for reading, the new Kobo is a nice little option. It's small enough to slip into a pocket, can do more with a PDF than the competition, and at $129, it's $10 cheaper than both the Nook and Kindle WiFi.

I'm very satisfied with my Nexus One except the lack of multitouch. I don't know what interesting things they could add besides that, honestly.

@bradsh A better default music app?
@bradsh Go unlock your bootloader and load up some multitouch from XDA.
@bradsh I was very satisfied with computer software 1996.
Stop innovating and competitors pass you by.
@bradsh it does have multitouch, we just got get a few of those people on older devices up to speed =/ (G1 = no true multitouch)

@bradsh Then download dolphin browser and B&B Gallery and stop your bitching.
@Dreadly
Cept the Dolphin browser is ultra shitty compared to the stock browser and only runs via ad support (no pay version).

@Webcat You have some kind of selective memory if you don't remember people saying those things about the iPhone.
