@pukerocket Looks like you're the juvenile around here. Using extreme exaggeration in interpreting someone else's point as a counter-argument is what juveniles do.
@AdmiralKlingon Roughly 4 years. I can give it to someone else and the phone would have a total lifespan of 6 years.
Sure you can have Apple replace the battery. But last I checked, it costs 86$US for the replacement. And with the hassle of shipping and waiting, lots of people would get a new one instead.
No matter how you look at it, there is no way this is as eco-friendly as a phone that allows replacing the battery yourself for 30$.
the Nook Color proved it was an undercover tablet all along, Barnes and Noble has hit back with this latest Nook as proof of its focus on one thing: reading.

How about replaceable batteries for your devices, "eco-minded" Apple?
@WickedEast
What's more eco-friendly:
1. Having 1 phone for 2 years and using 1 battery
2. Having 1 phone for 2 years and using a number of batteries
Do you see? Do you know what eco-friendly means?
@pukerocket
I think what you meant was:
What's more eco-friendly:
1- Replace the entire phone (including battery) after 2 years
2- Replace battery after 2 years.
Do you see?
C'mon, are you for real?
@WickedEast
Oh yeah. You are right. Cos people would keep the same phone all their life if only they could replace the battery.
Learn logic, kid.

I'm curious how long did your last cell phone last.
Also if you wish to, you can actually change the battery in the iPhone, just go to an Apple Store.

Every Cellphone I have bought since Nokia 8210 ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_8210 1999) is still in use. My grandfather still use the 8210.
