Motorola MOTOROI demoed on video in very cozy quarters
You don't typically get this close to your phone unless you're about to put it against the side of your face, but hey, we figure a little intimate time with a device you use this much can't hurt, now, can it? Here we've got one of the first high-def hands-on experiences of Motorola's latest Android set, the MOTOROI, loaded with a Korean ROM in preparation for its upcoming launch on SK Telecom. As if on cue, the very first thing the user tests is the browser's multitouch support, revealing that performance could be an issue here -- even on the phone's OMAP3 core -- but the good news is that the presence of Blur doesn't seem to cause the home screen to stutter like we've seen on the CLIQ and DEXT. All things considered, the odd hump on the bottom right edge doesn't seem as dramatic in the reals as it does in press photos, which we'd say is a good thing -- particularly considering the latest talk that we'll see this sucker launch all over the world over the next few months. Follow the break for the full video.

@Cringer I gave up the cube in favor of the Expo plugin. With Expo, I can see everything realtime on all 8 of my desktops!...(((Widescreen 1680x1050 20inch w/Twinview)*2)*4Virtual Desktops). Configured with a 2x2 size, Expo is smart enough to put 4x screens on each window...What does this all mean?
Well for instances....(3360x1050)x4)...If I really needed to open all of this random crap...

I know windows can't, does OSX have anything similar yet?
@helfrez Very nice. I am on a laptop so not a ton of space to work with unless I hook up an exterior monitor which right now has been stolen from a 10 year girl. I do use Expo as well sometime though, simply because it's so easy to move things from desktop to desktop.
Also what I meant to add to my first response. I do have a Palm Pre with pinch to zoom and use it often. Though like I said I could like without it more then my multiple desktops and ways to move between them on my laptop.
The guy holding the camera asked about the double tap feature and widgets on the homescreen. Nothing special...
@Chris
Does this phone have Blur? As far as I can tell, there's no Blur UI on the phone. Plus, 1) the MOTOROI will use Android 2.0, while the Blur is running on 1.5 (like the CLIQ and Backflip) and 2) Blur in Korea would have to have Cyworld, or else no one would want it.
@Big Al if I recall moto confirmed that the CLIQ would be getting 2.1 with blur, so yes thats blur
Was this filmed at Denny's in Los Angeles at peak hour?
no keyboard? :(
MOTOROI + Sense UI = full win!
its very slow, lot of lag. ugly.
God, that multitouch implementation is slow as hell.
this is really nice dude
