Thanks for the insight! I had no idea.I just blindly expect that one full year since Palm Pre 1 should automatically bring a new processor. Especially with the complaints I've read about interface lag.
For months, all we ever heard about Android phones was that they needed to start using Snapdragon -- or even the 750mhz processor.
Just thought the Pre was due. (Unless Sprint has it on lockdown)
Yes youall did gives us many updates since launch, and 3d gaming and video recording, and i thank palm for it, but i still feel left out in da cold, being a sprint user, and not getting a pre plus on our network, i just wanna know if sprint will be getting anything new from palm this year!
@masterchief10: Welcome to the existence of an early adopter. I had a financially broke buddy who got his first iPhone from one of his friends who was an early adopter. Perhaps you could do the same with one of your friends and make the jump to Verizon?

Now, as a Master Chief (reminds me of Chef), you know that many new ingredients are seasonal. I am with Sprint and I own the Palm Pre. But I have been enjoying the new features being added to my phone on a nearly monthly basis. I just bought the awesome "Need for Speed" 3D game, which was released this month. And I am waiting for webOS 1.4 which is coming in February 2010; and with it, video camcorder recording; this will be a great addition to the camera (with flash) on my Palm Pre smart phone. New hardware is nice, but I am really enjoying my current phone.
We all know that a new Palm Pre device will be released at Sprint, we just don't know when. Not knowing when makes it exciting, just like trying to guess what gift you will be getting for Christmas.
The phone has 256MB of RAM and a 1GHz processor, which do the job reasonably well, though the Anna interface will likely leave something to be desired for many smartphone users.

I just don't get why the Palm Pre Plus doesn't have fully updated innards. (Not just RAM + storage space, but a new processor too.)
@Jon Rubinstein
Apple better not release an iPhone on Verizon or bye bye the thought of owning a Palm Pre Plus!
Unless....apple leaves out one key feature.
@Fatalah
there really isn't much higher to go, Cortex A9 chips haven't released yet and it would be a waste of R&D upgrading to a slightly better A8

@Fatalah
The interface lag was taken care of with a recent update
@Jon Rubinstein Then can you please lose the stupid exclusivity bullcrap and release an unlocked GSM version... in record time???
I've been waiting for it since the launch and now the first refresh is already here.

@ToniCipriani You are aware that he isn't the real Jon Rubinstein, right?

@Dustin
I guess you don't like to multitasking.

"I just blindly expect that one full year since Palm Pre..."
Fatalah you're a damn idiot! Sell your PC and call it a day.
@Jonathan K Of course.
