It's sort of stunning how many stellar smartphone options Verizon Wireless customers suddenly have, but lest we forget that RIM's
hotly-anticipated Storm2 was rockin' the suburbs late last year. For those who sprung, we're curious to know if you're happy with your decision. Do you think RIM adequately addressed the gripes from
round one? Is the display responsive enough? Was the addition of WiFi what sealed the deal? Are you annoyed that you didn't hold out for the
new Palm lineup? Feel free to get really real in comments below -- we get the impression that Waterloo needs all the feedback it can get when it comes to QWERTY-less mobiles.
I would see to it that RIM recalled everyone of them and gave each present sufferer a credit towards a Tour or a Bold. I left IPhone for this monstrosity, and even though Verizon is a much better carrier than ATT and Verizon's customer service is the best, I miss the ease of use, responsiveness, and the apps of the IPhone. The StormII screen is way too sensitive; I get a call, take it out of my pocket or holder, and the littliest movement executes the call and I loose it. Or if I am simply taking it out of my pocket to use it, the voice control screen and the voice immediately comes up. The virtual keyboard is not as good as others, and the Blackberry Apps, even if you have to buy at Handango, are not as complete certainly as from the Apple Store. Downloading a software update as Verizon told me to do wiped out all my information and I haven't had my Contacts list for 2 weeks. In other words folks, I for one will never buy a RIM device again. Instead of going back to ATT I am looking at the Palm Pre Plus or an HTC Android phone.
Having this phone for the past 3 months, i feel qualified in describing it as a grossly under-appreciated, under-valued mobile device. If only there was an app that filters the comments of simpletons who obviously have no experience using a superior handheld.
