Best possible use for this I can think of for this is use by reporters. They could interview someone and keep their face on tv at the same time without having to resort to their usual trick of taping their questions after the fact and editing them together back at the office.

But it's a perfectly valid one, and a good idea actually. Not every reporter can interview in a big studio with multiple big cameras :-) (Or lose time doing the "different recordings" thing)
