Nook becomes Colorware's latest victim
Look, we know we give Colorware a hard time -- mostly because it regularly spits out miscast creations like the abominable Kindle or the unlovable DSi -- but in the case of the Nook we're a lot more ambivalent. Sure, on the one hand you can concoct clashing color schemes like the one above that only someone from Portugal can truly appreciate, but if you slide past the break you'll find tasteful color combos are possible as well. Perhaps it's the Nook's simple logo on the back and straight-line color separation, but this is one instance where we might actually be willing to shell out the $125 asking price for a fresh paintjob. Hit the source link to try your hand at designing a prettier Nook yourself.

yellow and black ^^
Very Expensive
This will make it much more appealing to thieves in the subway.
It's sooooo shiiiiiny... must grab... and run...
@Cence
I'd consider Colorware-ing a product a theft deterrant.
The only thing that should have colour is the screen...
Red/Green?
Dammit... just a few months late..
Though the black and yellow one, could be Bumblebee's nook in the new transformer videos.
BB: Stop! I must continue reading twilight!

Dammit engadget, just fork out $90 for a Vbulleten license.. you KNOW IT WOULD BE AWESOME.
@geekthree Welcome to the United Colors of Benetton™.
But it'll be your abomination!
How do they get these cover's so perfect?
@n1tul
They dip it in paint....
@n1tul: That would depend on your definition of "perfect"
I actually like the red-green combination, but it is too flashy to carry around with me
These covers are a bit too... (what's that word I'm looking for) colorful? for me =)
God, I'm sick of this.
You do realise that you don't have to have a horrible garish colour combination? It's just to show the different panels and colours available.
The Red/Green combo looks like a prop from Santa Claus The Movie.
Oh look, how lovely... a Christmas Nook. Way to go Colorware.... way to go.
How about a nice brown and pink one.... olive green and salmon......or or or how about gettin real funky and doin it plaid or paisley? Yeah.....
Red and green.??!!
Ouch! My eyes!!
red and green and to put the designer who choose such color against the wall.
MY EYES!
Buddy the Elf would like that one.
Merry Christmas! (Red & Green). Who wants to celebrate with some Yellow Tail? (Black & Yellow)
No! OK.

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas...
