Apple iPad event video now online
Sure, you lived through every harrowing moment live with your friends from Engadget, but if you're dying for that direct dose of RDF, the video from Apple's iPad event is now live and streaming away. You know what would be perfect for watching this? A giant iPod touch. Think about it.

Video Disappointment!
@yulebellow
Does this mean that there will not be a new iPhone this year or is the still some hope left?
@yulebellow
The poor folks that put in that flag to filter out all things Apple must think Engadget is having their company picnic today.
@yulebellow
We know the details. Watching this would be like pulling off a band-aid really really slowly.
@yulebellow
You know that funniest/saddest thing about all this is, that Engadget nailed the iPad design when they used to post those Tom Cruise Unicorn pics.
@daytripper
I think the saddest thing about this is the iPad
@yulebellow
You're right.
@yulebellow
So if this is indicative of the product... I can expect poor quality, out of sync streaming video on in it, in lieu of Flash?
@yulebellow Ridiculous applause...
The level of hate is truly disturbing ....
I am certainly not blown away but the iPad certainly looks intriguing and the price point is reasonable for this kind of user experience.
Great news for all involved in the iPhone ecosystem, I will be holding off buying an MBA and will give the iPad a demo.
@JamesR How do i put a flag to filter out all things apple? seriously, I need to know! :(
@yulebellow
i hope Steverino blows his brains out tonight in embarrassment.
@yulebellow
my disappointment is that the engadget iPhone app doesn't show me the link.
@yulebellow
Is it just me or does Steve Jobs look like Salad Fingers with his hands all stretched like that? Youtube Salad Fingers and you will see.

dont waste your time watching the real keynote
@hariss
I was waiting for someone to link to this :) I couldn't remember who did it. Thought it was comedy central
@hariss mad tv not funny. too literal.
@jj321 well i find madtv's solution way more practical & useful..
@hariss
AAwwsomee
funny that they decided to release a judas tablet after the jesus phone. didn't think that was a good marketing move.

Should go onto failblog as Product Fail.
@xxgunnerxx http://failblog.org/2010/01/27/name-fail-photoshop-win/
Who honestly cares? I never see you guys posting entire articles just for videos of other products. :c
@Lucas
"Revolutionary" and "Magical" products deserve entire articles. *Cough*
@VictorBush Revolutionary my ass. They just made a huge ass iTouch, nothing more. If they want to make a story on something that's bigger than it should be, they should do an article on their egos.
@Lucas
I forgot my tags, sorry :)
@Lucas
I forgot my sarcasm tags, sorry :)
@VictorBush I realized you were being sarcastic, but I was making a point.
ugh - why must the apple freaks cheer whenever steve jobs walks on stage?
i hope there was some journalistic integrity here and none of u engadget bloggers applauded
@Gabe
Journalistic integrity? Here? Did you not just witness the ball licking that happened today? When is the last time you've seen this much coverage for something this useless?
Engadget should hang their head in shame after this. I hold Josh personally responsible. Deep down he knows how ridiculous this thing is and he still alowed this circus today.
@sweet greggo of course they're going to devote space to it, whether it's a good product or not, it is big news. Josh and co. were in fact very aware of how disappointing this thing had the opportunity to be, and they're letting us all decide for ourselves with their coverage. get off your high horse.
@trojandrewgmailcom
Name me one other tablet computer that got this much love and I'll get off my "high horse". This thing is worthless as an ereader, pmp, or pc. I expect a gadget blog to recognize this early and move the fuck on.
@sweet greggo
+9001
@Gabe
It's just Jobs. He screams at me in a special voice, "MY PRECIOUS!!!!!"
I was thinking about how the iPad is just a big iPod Touch. Well, bigger and faster.
It seems like it is $300 price premium for the larger format. I feel if that was more like $150 - it would have been far more compelling of a ideal price point for a hand-held media player.
$550 for the 64GB and $350 for the 8GB (plus the extra if you want 3GS). Although still not a real portable computer, I would have loved that price for a portable media device.
I heard he during a demo he went on a website requiring flash and a huge missing plugin image appeared. I want to see that.
@TheGM
Found a pic.
http://cache0.techcrunch.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/01/flash.jpeg
@TheGM
You know that's engadget's pic right? Even techchrunch said so
@TheGM If you watch the video, it's just before 14:00
@TheGM
Whoa..EPIC FAIL.
Ipad enginner need to goes back to drawing board.
There is no place in this world for this weirdo device.
@andthemaniam
Sure there is. Somebody somewhere needs their window propped open .53".
Yeah ... BUT,
- where's the camera for iChat?
- where's the (SD, CF, Express Card/34) card reader for photos / video loading and memory expansion?
- another $40 additional for iPad specific iWork programs?
- what's the point of iPad specific Keynote if there is no display out port?
- another separate $29.99 unlimited data plan to your existing iPhone unlimited data plan? (what is more than "unlimited"?, super-unlimited"?)
- when there is no 3G service does it go to Edge network or just not work?
- what are we supposed to do in 07/10 when 4G rolls out?
- it'll be 04/10 by the time these roll out, add three more ... and it'll be outdated by iPad 1.5 GHz / 128 GB / 4GS with rollover from your EXISTING ATT iPhone plan
@FLee
1) No company releases their best product in the first iteration: Business 101
2) 30-pin dock connector adapter for SD cards
3) Development of apps isn't free
4) 30-pin dock adapter to connect to another screen (will output 720p)
5) It's month-to-month, not a 2-year contract. Plus, you don't have to own an iPhone to get the contract. Plus, only pay for it when you need it.
6) It should roll back to EDGE. That's how the GSM standard is defined.
7) There won't be a 4G iPad for a while. No shipping chips are available for OEMs to use. Plus, first-gen stuff always sucks a bunch of power. It's just not Apple's style.
8) Technology will always be outdated. Be happy with what you purchase, not what you AREN'T getting. If you're always waiting, you'll never be happy with what's right in front of you.
@Jeff Kibuule
Apple.com says it will only ouput 576i/p 480i/p. Even my Zune HD can output 720p
@Missing Matter
Yeah...what is up with 576p anyway? Is that some sort of crazy Euro standard or something.
@Jeff Kibuule
Fool, it has a Dock Connector to VGA output, so you can connect it to a projector at a resloution of 1024x768, which is okay for a presentation.
