Motorola Backflip spotted in the wilds of China
Motorola's Backflip has yet to springboard itself over to AT&T, but those who call China home can hop on the bandwagon right away. Said phone -- which sports a full touchscreen and a physical QWERTY thanks to the horizontal clamshell design -- is now available from Moto's Chinese portal for 4,298 Chinese yuan (in unlocked form), which translates to right around $630. While the rest of the world awaits the phone's launch later this quarter, you can hit up Mobile.163.com for a downright beautiful gallery of in the wild shots. Go on, it's safe. We think.

i like the silver sides on this phone, they look nice.
The keyboard's keys look really flush though, i wonder how it would be to type on that thing.
I have a Cliq, and im glad the keys are domed, makes typing on there a great experience.
@jayy337 The Droid's keyboard is pretty flushed too right. Frankly, I'd rather have some thickness in exchange for nice bumpy keys. If I wanted slim, I'd get a touch keyboard model.
@YpoCaramel That's why they make one with it and one without.Duh.
I still think that's an awkward design. But I'll have to try it out in person I suppose.
Well, they almost did that right. When the keyboard is behind the screen, you should be able to touch type on it with your fingers opposing eachother. Looks like they're big enough for it, so the main problem is that space bar and only 4 rows (instead of 5).
Just imagine.

Then the space bar is to the left of the touch screen and the send button is on it..
...which would kick the snot out of my Droid keyboard.. I had to cut up tiny strip magnets and insert one into the device next to the MicroSD card to fool it into thinking it was in a car dock just so I could use the onscreen keyboard in landscape with quicksearch.

@ 2nd post
ahahaha lol XD. Nice thinking
@ethana2
I don't mind the physical keyboard, but that is something they should address in an update. It doesn't make any sense that you can't choose b/n virtual or physical on the main screens.
GO apple GO
I've always wanted a phone that could take pictures of my palms while im typing.
Had? what happened to it?
That is the most disgusting keyboard I have ever seen on a phone.
