Cignias NAO Symphony wireless iPod boombox gets unboxed
Cignias' NAO Symphony still doesn't seem to be widely available following its CES unveiling, but our good pal Dave Zatz looks to have sourced one from the wild, wild abyss. He did the world a favor by hosting up unboxing shots and a few first impressions, noting that this "sophisticated" iPod speaker dock actually interests him far more than most of those me-too offerings cluttering shelves today. Unfortunately, he's still working on getting the iPhone app to connect to a hidden SSID, but feel free to hit the source link and peruse the image gallery while he gets that ironed out.
Update: This is now available directly from Cignias.

Darren - try sleeping sometime, I hear it does wonders. I'm going to try it now!
That being said, props for the dedication.
@Slick
Sleep is for the weak and the adopted.
...I dunno why I even said that. He might be in California? It's 1AM here atm.
"/exclude/apple" is nothing but a gimmick.
@Tohe all it does it searches for the word "apple" in the posts, as you can see, there is none here, therefore engadget fails
iPad!
THERE HAPPY!?
I never really liked iPhone/iPod sound systems.....All houses should have surround sound built in every room standard starting in 2030. (Security is extra)
I have a dream... that on ONE FRIGGIN' DAY, I MAY NOT SEE ANY APPLE RELATED POSTS!
this completely defeats the purpose of having a small pocket-sized device that allows you to play music, surf the web, view photos etc. that thing would be lucky to fit in your briefcase. at least with an iPad you can ....... oh wait.
@buoy
>_< Fail.

Damn it.
Come on engadget, get with it. ipod should be tagged here.
Speaking of "boomboxes", I would really love to see someone do an iPod dock that has a massive battery that'll last for a stupid long time, some speakers that actually kick, and external controls that let you plop the iPod in the unit and leave it there protected.
Oh yea, and have it *look* like an old school boom box, minus the stupid amount of D batteries, ridiculous weight, and cassette tape players. Obviously, lol. A radio would be cool though....
