DirecTV DVR Scheduler app celebrates 1 million iPhone downloads, new features on the way
DirecTV's DVR Scheduler app may have just arrived on Android and WebOS devices but it's been around on iPhone for nearly a year and has now been downloaded by over 1 million users. Next up? The ability to order PPV without a home phone line, recommendations and ratings, and even direct to mobile video trailer streaming. Unfortunately not mentioned? When we'll see the promised Blackberry edition. Still, congratulations DirecTV.

Yet Blackberry users are ignored yet again. It doesn't seem to matter that they are used by more people...they just aren't as flashy I guess. Pathetic. Now let's just wait for the excuses to pour in from the DBStalk guys (Doug and Stuart).
Sweet! I am glad they are planning to add more features. I use the app all the time.
Funny how comments seem to be working on a post giving some iPhone love.
@scjessey Or a post that's on Engadget Mobile or Engadget HD. But yeah, that's it, it's because this post is about the iPhone. That's the most likely answer.
@RichardLawler
I think you'll find comments disabled on many posts of all 3 Engadget sites.
@scjessey No, you won't.
@RichardLawler
Ahh. I see now that it is a funny quirk of the recent change to the site. Only posts that ALSO appear in the main Engadget site have comments turned off, but Mobile or HD-specific posts still allow comments. Confusing, but you are correct sir. My bad.
@RichardLawler
Any chance of letting me know when I can come back to engadget and start commenting on the regular posts? I know I am in a minority of readers being that I often comment on the posts, even so, I would love to feel some for the active engadgeteer.....
(*please no banhammer*)
It'd be nice to get some finer control over the recording, like starting 1 min early or adding extra time to the end, especially for live events.
U-Verse has this too.... though not as in depth.
I haven't even used it yet, as it requires iPhone 3.0, which I am too cheap to buy for my iPod Touch....
Why can't they upgrade the app to let you know when you might overlay an existing recording? The app should provide the same tools available from your remote sitting at home using the box itself. Am I crazy?
