We can't say we were overwhelmed by the first leaked photos of what we've come to know as the
Nokia Mystic, but there's something about this QWERTY candybar form factor that Nokia just does
so well that we have to hang onto the benefit of the doubt. The latest news on this front is that the handset will be dubbed the Nokia C6, which makes a lot of sense as a counterpart to the numeric keypad-equipped but similarly styled
Nokia C5 that was recently leaked. Word is that the C6 should retail for around 200 Euro (about $274 US), and that it should be released in May or June. It seems logical that we'll see both of these S60 3rd edition phones at MWC this month, but there's nothing solid on that front just yet.
Seems nice in enough, but seems a bit superfluous since the E63 and maybe the occasional E71 on sale are already at this pricepoint.
@YpoCaramel
can Nikia be anymore un-original? It's the look of a Palm, with a name sounded like Samsung.
I would've just called it the Centr....
Oh..
Nevermind
@LiqwidZero
True that! It's like Nokia is becoming a Korean car maker.
Agreed. I'm a little irritated at how this is the same price point of my 5800. If this was 139 euro, that price would be more acceptable, additionally considering that the E63 is better designed than this C6.
@N900 : I don't know why Nokia does that really. Within a few months of launch the handsets are usually a third off the RRP everywhere but the official Nokia store, so it's not like anybody's respecting that high price.
I believe this IS the new e63. like e72 "replaced" e71 last year.

Update on 5/2/2010 at 16:10 pm:
It is now clear that it is not the Mystic goes that the C6 will be a different phone. Our source knows which is still reporting that the C6 will be a touchscreen, enabling the Mystic permanently left behind.
This 'Mystic' phone always seemed fake to me anyway.
Looks like a newer version of the E63.
Looks like my Palm Centro. Maybe another hint for Nokia buying Palm soon?
I don't think this is a smart for like their E series but rather a dumb phone since the interface resembles closer to my Nokia 6700 classic then the E72.
It sort of looks like an ugly spawn of the E71 and the N85. I dunno, I like that Nokia is putting out good mid-range phones but given the E71's success...why not offer something closer to that now that prices for similar components have dropped?
@drivendaily
You mean something like the E72?
lol told you that this phone is not fake. I know my source.
I'm a bit nokia fanboy so i am with them most of the time but, Sorry I gotta say that is one of the ugliest phones I have seen in a long time.
I'm fine with gadgets sometimes looking a bit strange and i am always function over form but this thing is a minger!
Don't like this one although I understand what they're trying to do with the C series.
this obviousily a prepaid phone with a software upgrade. Dont get to tight about it fellas.
I agree, it looks like a 3 year old Palm handset.....come on Nokia, stop kissing Elks and drinking Kopperberg and give us some decent handsets....
Good LORD could they have made it look ANY more like the Centro?
Guys, this phone is not meant for gadget geeks such us. There are many corporate workers out there who want the simplicity, long battery life, and the QWERTY keyboard this phone boasts.
You should expect a super smartphone in this category and for 200€.
this is their entry level series. It will likely stabilize around $189 unlocked just months after launch and carrier takeup. In a few months, the Cseries will be the lowest entry point to a smartphone, with Android and the others lacking anything close in this range. Imagine a smartphone for under $200!
