Samsung M100S flaunted on video, looking snappy

An exhaustive video preview over eleven minutes long of Samsung's just-announced M100S Android set for Korea has turned up on YouTube -- and at a glance, it looks like Seoul residents pining after a Nexus One should be redirecting at least some of their lust over to this thing. It's snappy (we're particularly heartened by how little time it takes to get into the camera app), it appears to have some gorgeous custom widgets, and let's be real, it's hard to argue with any phone sporting an antenna that long -- especially when said antenna carries mobile TV along with it. Buyers have another month or so to wait before picking this up, so savor these videos and make 'em last.

But seriously, they can't release a 2.1 phone and then not push a 2.x update to their older models, right? Yeah I know, laff at me for buying a Behold 2...

I laugh at you or at whomever still buy Samsung smartphones.
I did the same mistake a couple of years ago buying an Omnia i900 and I'm not gonna fall in the trap again.
They look absolutely fab but nobody is ever gonna be happy of them a couple of months after purchase, just ask to those who fell for the OmniaHD, or the Jet.
You'll never get an update or a firmware from Sammy, they just keep releasing new models forgetting all about the fools who bought the previous devices.
Just like now: even before the Monte has hit the shelves they are already pushing the m100s, they both look great on paper but they are not gonna tempt me anymore unless I have solid proof of their worth.
Modern smartphones need updates and firmwares regularly just like PC's OS but so far in my experience only HTC and Nokia (I had an N97 until last month) seem committed enough to their clients.
I now own an HTC HD2 and an HTC hero and I look forward to upgrade from the Hero to the Bravo (or maybe N1) as soon as I can, but that's something you will never hear from someone who bought a Samsung smartphone .
