Google's Superbowl ad will make you cry a little bit
Admit it: you're crying a little bit now, aren't you?
Now, here's the thing: this ad, from Google's "Search Stories" YouTube channel, is from back in November, but John Battelle says he's got a source telling him that 'Parisian Love' is the one that will air tomorrow night, during the third quarter of the SuperBowl. Either way, Google's Eric Schmidt tweeted that he couldn't wait to watch tomorrow, in addition to something about "hell freezing over." So... that's the first good reason we've heard to tune in. You with us?

I hope he wasn't studying film.
Since it's a guy point of view, they should have used the feminine gender of "mignon", because now it sounds like a guy is trying to flirt with a guy, then tries to impress a French girl.
That guy is confused.
@xDRAN0x
He was translating it to english because it was something a girl said to him.
@Chefgon
Very good point :]
anybody else quickly go "AA-12?" (the auto-shotty from cod) when he typed aa120?
D'aaaawww.
I'm not really impressed with this add. Assuming most of the Superbowl audience will be partially drunk or have exce3ssive adrenaline, the amount of people that are going to focus to read an add is minimal. In fact on any given day most people ignore adds that make them work for their attention. I like the add but I don't seeit as smart of effective.
@Omoks
I'm with you. Wasn't Google the company advertising how manly Android is compared to girly bejeweled iPhones?
@zibraham that would be Motorola
Aw this is so cute! I love it!
That's cute. =D
This seems like a much more likely commercial...

Albeit it is kinda long and would cost a ton o cash!
eHarmony and Chemistry.com must be trembling in fear. Google is getting into the online matchmaking game.
Well it's nice and all.. but who does really click on the "Google Search" button? :)
Only a x-rated, Japan version of this ad would make me cry.
Paris just makes me cringe.
just watched it for the 3rd time.. damn, it really is great. maybe a little tear.
That's a beautiful ad. Good Job Google marketing team! Thank you for redeeming yourselves for that horrid affair that was the Android ads.
That ad was creepy
Is it just me or is everyone in the USA doing Paris?
My college is watching the Superbowl right now... every girl in the room just went 'Awwwwwwww!' after watching that commercial.... :-P
Brilliant!
So what's the "Hell freezing over" stuff? That you can search on Google? WTF?
sounds like he forgot to google "condoms" at the end of the ad :)
Very effective in a simple, clean, efficient, and understated manner...perfect personification of Google...
google..Google..GOOGLE.. it has become part of every ones life..
I just did an analysis of the uptick in views of "Parisian Love," Google's SuperBowl Creative - the airing pushed views on YouTube up by 600K as of this morning (from ~1,000,000 yesterday before airing) very interesting stuff. Check out the YouTube video page and pull down the stats, I have also extracted the stats as of this morning 2.08.10 here:

I thought it was an astounding ad, until the baby thing in the end. For me it killed the tension and made it lose all the magic.
Still think it's really great though.
They should have typed in "I am extremely" and showed what came up.
