Brando camera holster is cheap, might actually hold your camera
Say what you will about Brando, but you can always count on them to take a good idea and sell a cheaper (if not necessarily better) version of it. The latest example is the discount retailer's Camera Waist Belt Lock, which is basically a $14 version of the $110 Spider Camera Holster that we checked out first hand a few months back. Needless to say, we'd feel a bit more comfortable entrusting a $1,000+ DSLR to the weapon-like Spider, but those willing to take a chance to save a few bucks can grab the Brando alternative right now at the link below.

how fast you reckon you can draw and shoot that hand Canon, cowboy?
can-on vs nik-on is on baby. i say, bring it on...
ps i'm in nik-on gang
@benderfender there are 5 on's in your comment, do i win?
Brawndo?
@benderfender Me too, keep fighting.
@Bizam
Exactly what I was thinking....
It's got what plants crave, or maybe what cameras crave?
I'm curious how comfy it is for long periods. I know my D200 murders my neck after a while... I should probably just get a new strap
@Luffy Plus, holstering an SLR might look really dorky
@Luffy
is dorky what kids are calling "bad-ass" now-a-days?
If I saw a guy walking towards me with one of those I'd step aside, tip my hat to him and hope to god he doesn't kick my ass.
Pew-Pew!
@manIK
Some things in this world are never meant to collide because the outcome can be disturbing e.g. your picture.
With the build quality from Brando, maybe the camera will be on the floor before my pants hit the deck.
the plate looks pretty bulky and inconvenient for portrait-style shooting. I'd gladly pay more for the well designed Spider (and I did)
@rekit
and it looks like the camera has to hang lens-down? stee-rike two!
Unless you have a belt tightened...this thing will pull ur pants down and make u look hip.
Those are definitely frontline pants.
Here is another option

Flexible System Design - The case can be worn as a shoulder bag, cross-body or around your waist on a belt.
No way No how. My camera was $800 new, and the Lens was another $800. I'm not entrusting that much cash, plus possibly my flash to a $14 holster. Pass.
haven't seen marbled wash jeans in a while...
For what it's worth, I ordered one and it arrived today. It's pretty cheap plastic. I feel fine trusting my old Canon 350D w/ 50mm f/1.8 lens (i.e. tiny and worthless) to it, which was the plan, but mounting my 50D w/ 17-55 f/2.8 lens (big, heavy, and expensive) is completely out of the question.
