@Gigaflop that's simply not true
@Gigaflop the iphone is to good of a product, ive used blackberrys, and none have satisfied me more then this one, i am looking into the google nexus, but with its lack of 3g support on canadian networks, im kind of stuck, i guess ill just have to use the mobile site until something turns up, oh apple, why cant you just be.. open source, (without jailbreak)
@stevenrmarrocco they hate the iphone cause they are competing against it
Well I'm a human fly
It's spelt F-L-Y
I say buzz ,buzz, buzz, and it's just because...
Yup..... hero with this 1.5.... left out of all the fun

Did anyone hear anything about WebOS in this whole press release? Think it will just be a webapp like it is for the iPhone?
@Salath911
Nothing in their chart of supported or planned platforms. Which is pretty lame considering the WebOS browser is webkit, just like iphone and Android.
Got Maps with Buzz working on my G1. It's sort of freaky. I guess I'm not into the whole Twitter thing. Only person I saw near me was my friend's dad quoting Mother Theresa. That's suburban Georgia for you.
I like it but it seems disorganized. Maybe I missed something but there doesn't seem to be a way to track certain people nor can I see a way this doesn't get taken over by advertisers.
@krus2
There's definitely a way to track people. On the iphone web version just hit "menu" from the main page and it'll take you to a place to search for specific people and then "Follow" them, just as you would on twitter. This screen also shows your snapshot: a link to your posts ("twitter timeline"), the people you're following, who's following you, people nearby, etc. etc.

@krus2
Actually, you don't even need to go to the menu. The main page has an option to either select "Following" or "Nearby". By default it shows you nearby "tweets."

Total crap that this is not supported for the HTC Hero and 1.5. Google is really upsetting alot of people on this one.
Been playing with it for an hour or so, its really cool that you can see a list of whats going on in any area. Really like that you can post pics and people looking at the same area can see them immediately.
This will be great for getting the most current news during some type of event.
I see it being used for prostitution. I can see it now, personal pic with "available right now"...
@matuscg Hmm...that would make it pretty easy to round up the pros in an area for the 5-0,no?
@MrJef
You would think the same thing about craigslist but it there are "escorts" advertising all the time. This could turn into a real-time meet-market with location photo and turn by turn directions if needed.
@matuscg a total sausagefest at the moment. i only seen 1 female buzz and not suprisingly she got over 10 replies
seems like Google just took a huge dump on twitter! I have been using buzz for just few minutes now and I am already hooked! For me it's more like "twitter in context" that how I would describe it.
I cant acces buzz from my gmail on my laptop or my mobile phone (hero, android 1.5). Anyone else got the same problem?
@dimmer i think u need 1.6
@tc4101
Oke thx dude :)
Works through Maps on my X10
Well, around me tons of random people are using it for useless status updates. So the signal to noise ratio makes it useless. I really could care less if joe blow is watching american idol reruns in his apartment.. Already turned it off, just clutters my traffic map.
why not working in my WM6.5.
Its sad!
