The race is on to see how many angles of HTC's upcoming
Legend can be snapped before the phone's official debut, so here's our next submission. As you can see, the hard-edged aluminum theme continues to wrap its way around the side with a touch of black plastic along the bottom, presumably to give the antenna some room to breathe. We've got a list of specs this time, too, most of which match up with what we've already heard:
- 3.2-inch HVGA AMOLED capacitive touchscreen
- 600MHz Qualcomm MSM7227 processor (the same class of core used by the Pixi and Devour)
- 5 megapixel camera with LED flash
- Bluetooth 2.1+EDR
- WiFi
- Quadband GSM / EDGE plus dualband HSPA
- Magnetic compass
- 3.5mm headphone jack
- 1300mAh battery
It's no
Nexus One or
Bravo, but that's the beauty of the way HTC's love affair with Android is turning out -- there's a little something for everyone.
[Thanks, Dion]
When will we find out more about the Bravo? I've been holding out on a new phone.
Garbage. This is one of those phones a chick-friend of mine buys and I have to go and make the sales guy feel bad for selling it to her and un-mess the deal. These things are a waste of stocking space, sweatshop labor, and plastic that will be here for a 2,000,000 years.
@TrumanHW
Actually it's mostly aluminium. And not everyone needs a superphone.
Dualband HSPA? Geez, why can't they just make a quad band one so it's compatible with any carrier? Why putting an artificial limit like this?
I'm wondering about the processor. Is it better than the one in the moto Cliq/HTC magic?
It has even more bezel and dead space than the Hero.
Can the bravo have a good proc, a keyboard and come to Tmo please?
what is it with HTC and freakin chins on their phones. They look ugly
@robindahoods
I like the chins. All phones should have chins. Chins.
@robindahoods That's why I won't be buying one.
@robindahoods
It's part of their brand identity. All of HTC's self-designed Android computers have them. I find it ugly, but I can appreciate that they want to have a unified design theme across their Android line--I just wish they went with a different design theme.
i'm no fan boy but doesn't this look sort of like an imac? either way, it's pretty darn sexy. keep pumping out those android handsets htc! i feel like a kid at a candy store. so many choices!
@MangoPants
Only with the right eyes :)
The only phone I would trade my NEXI 1 for.
Hold on, does that mean this is no 3g?
@blinddance
The article says it has HSPA. HSPA is 3.5G.
@jgp Oh, I'm sorry, thanks!
HVGA = Deal breaker
Whatever that is.
@joe23521
No keyboard = bigger dealbreaker.
But, yeah, after using a WVGA handheld for the last few months, I don't think I could stand to go back to a lower resolution. And to think I stuck with a QVGA device for so long without going insane...
It looks pretty nice but I wish that it was a little thinner. After the iPhone and the Nexus One, it will be hard for me to look at a phone (including my myTouch) and be happy with its girth.
Ooooooooh!
Jay Leno's dream Phone
@sharukh007
I'm assuming that once the Legend II comes out, it'll be on the market for half a year before it gets discontinued and the Legend re-released.
F 600mHz.
isn't this T-Mobile's baby?!
This was in that HTC roadmap a couple months ago that hinted at T-Mobile, but i believe that was the UK branch.
hopefully it gets to them here in the states too.
God I'd love to get on the Android bandwagon, but they're all over the place. I know I've wed myself to Apple's walled garden but I'm liking these phones form HTC.
Anyone know what version of Android this things gonna be packing? 2.1 or the rumored 2.2? I guess if it's not in the article no one knows... Anyone have any guesses though? As long as it's not stuck with 1.6 like my current Hero. Ugh.
Really? What's with all the leaked HTC phones lately. Legend, Bravo, Incredible, Supersonic, MyTouch Slide... and not only are there multiple pictures; they are actually CLEAR!!!!!
Please anyone in the phone business please, I mean please tell me if HTC Legend is coming to the AT&T network. Cause I've been reading and reading it have AT&T 3G network and it might come their. So I just need some more info so I can upgrade and get it.
I'll bet AT&T gets this one when they release their five. After all, it is highly likely they'll get a rebranded Hero.

I don't understand what the point of these small screens and sh***tty processors is?
Every single phone released from today on should be 3.5" minimum and Snapdragon minimum. What the hell is the point of going BACKWARDS in technology???
@Johnny Rockets Not everybody wants to pay $500 for a phone!
I have this phone already...why do they create another Hero? Give this baby a Snapdragon with 1 Ghz and i will replace my GSM Hero with this thing...but whats that?
Aluminium body, black screen bezel. Sorry Apple, HTC beat you to the iPhone Pro ;)
Is there any good software options for a mac user wanting to sync his/her Android device with iTunes, Address Book and iCal?
@blinddance
Just use Google Calendar, Google Contacts and the USB Drive ability of this devices...much easier...
@bluefisch200 I doubt anything is more simple than plugging in my iPhone to my mac. It does the syncing all by itself. I'm eager to switch to Android but they really have to make syncing a non-issue.
Wow I am so excited to see new designs from htc. They really know how to design a phone. I can't wait to get one...pph
Crap !! Are they kidding ? The infamous chin is back !!! :-O
MEH. il wait until HTC produces something that trumps/on par with the HD2 and has the newest version of android!
if i were to buy it, it wouldn't be for the specs. i would never confine myself to at&t, nor would i get a phone that is closer to last-gen than current-gen.
