Creative's new headset keeps WoW gamers engrossed in all-night raids
It's a little late to be jumping on the World of Warcraft bandwagon, but it's safe to say that there are still quite a few

Talk about a GAME CHANGER!
@BUNT2
Does this mean we'll see these featured in the next season of "The Guild"?
@BUNT2
South Park had some fun with WoW. I've never played it. Not really into online MMORPG's.
"This could be the end of the World.... of warcraft."
"Do you have a World of Warcraft account?"
"No, I have a life."
Man, Engadget is so condescending these days!
@Devin
In all fairness, it's a product targeted at the WoW demographic. Is it even possible to write an article about this product without that kind of tone?
@Devin ...and that's exactly what makes me continue to read a post on a topic that I normally couldn't care less about. It's all about entertaining the masses!
Typo error on the prices !!?
Is wireless up to scratch these days? I owned a wireless pair of headphones around 4-5 years ago and it was a horrible experience.
@chiefy
I've got a cheap-ish pair from radio shack (oh sorry.. THE Shack) that are on 2.4 GHz that get the job done for me. Not really any difference unless you're an extreme audiophile.
i dont think anybody that plays wow has that kind of money
@rennagata92
what about the monthly payments?
most of them would slay their own mother* for the next prepaid card
*don't gank me, exaggeration
@rennagata92 It's easy to get the cash just sell off your other gear on the auction house.
Remember when Creative made soundcards?
Yeah, me neither.
@UnnDunn
I actually do. I own one of XFi's and it's awesome, so I have no idea what are you talking about.
@UnnDunn
I do, I own one.
@UnnDunn I have a pcie card sitting in a box somewhere because it never played nice with my 4870x2...
that's one beefy ass headset
HORDE > ALLIANCE!
HORDE > Squirrel Mail
lolz?

LOL!!!!!!!!!
@marsmissions: Alliance > 12 year old hordies dueling outside of Org while listening to slayer and growing out their shoulder-length black greasy hair.
both sides have their ups and downs (and bratty children) but after playing both sides, you realize that all but the top ranked guilds on horde side are made of homophobic, metal-loving, fart-joke-repeating children that would rather PvP than level some alts, farm, max professions, or raid to better themselves. when I'm on that side I can't help but feel like I'm in a really big game of halo on xbox.. makes me cringe.
but I guess that's what you get when you don't have an age restriction or an IQ test required to play. ;)
@Prokanda I listen to aqua when dueling outside of org....tyvm.
@marsmissions Were you the guy on Kilrogg the other day professing his love for Aqua in trade chat?
instead of spending money on this headset you can pay a year of WoW for your girlfriend to play with you. o wait.....
@iRawr: funny you should mention that, I have quite a few friends that play with their SO's... my 44 year old aunt and her husband are on that list as well.
@iRawr Rude.
@iRawr True.
@iRawr My guild has 3 married couples who are in the 40-60's age range...
Thought WoW was already dead...
@DigitalDali: somewhere in the realm of 12 million people might disagree..
@DigitalDali
Not for Leeeeeeerrrrrrrooooooyyyyyyy!
@DigitalDali I wish it WOULD die :/
Headsets are never a good idea.
You're much better off getting a quality pair of headphones, and a separate microphone. The quality just wont be up to par in a bundled unit.
Might I recommend the Audio Technica ATH-AD700.
90 dollars + 5 for a mic = superior performance.
@Astounding
A wireless mic? I don't think so. I'd consider this is if it didn't have all the wow gunk on it, bluetooth is still crappy for this.
@Bratyr No, a wired desk mic, or the kind that goes on the side of your monitor. The point of my post is that headsets have shit sound quality, and it's a much better use of money to get a quality pair of headphones that can be used for more than just low quality voice chat.
Was i the only one who thought that was a picture of a monkey on the side?
I don't see the point in a THX bla bla bla set of headphones for WoW when most of the player base use the headphones/mic purely for Ventrilo or Teamspeak and not the game music and sounds.
So much wow hate, my guess is none of you have even played the game, it is actually quite fun.
@(Unverified) I have. It's mind-numbingly boring.
"Kill 20 rats."
"Done? OK, collect 5 fur patches."
"Done? OK, now kill 30 spiders."
Repeat.
@The Madman
So you never made it past level 10 then.
I'm very excited to see this product come onto shelves as I am a WoW player myself but more importantly I'm excited because Creative is quickly becoming a company I know and love more with every new headset they make. The Fatal1ty headsets they made back then are still in my opinion the best around; I mean with how good it is right now, what more could you ask for? How about a newer one with better sound quality and amazing WoW design? No problem they say. Creative is now the one and only company I would trust to make an amazing set of headphones to put you in amazement and awe. Good job Creative! You've done it again!
