Sony Ericsson X10 mini and X10 mini pro hands-on with video

We're kinda chuffed about Sony Ericsson's showing this year at MWC, and between the three launched sets -- Vivaz pro, X10 mini, and X10 mini pro -- this little QWERTY stands out as the best of the bunch. The idea behind the X10 mini series, of course, is to have all the features and functionality of the larger X10 in a small package designed with one-handed use in mind. The keypad is surprisingly pleasant and not cramped (provided you aren't equipped with baseball bat-sized fingers) as it looks and the key feedback is really great. The UI is generally snappy in most apps we saw, though we did see a bit of sluggishness while playing with the Timescape feature; with some months til launch, we can at least hope for some improvement there. The phone's back is soft touch plastic -- the mini is a smooth plastic, by contrast -- and the face is the glossiest finish imaginable. As you can guess, that means it's a fingerprint magnet -- so if you worry about that type of thing, bring a cloth to keep it lovely. We're absolutely stoked to get our hands on one of these for review for you as soon as possible, but until that fateful moment arrives, the gallery and vid after the break will have to do.

@Corsair
1. How big are your fingers anyway? A 3x3 (or a even a 4x4) icon GUI plus the"corner shortcuts" fits quite well on the 2.5" screen.
2. The mini is a featurephone built on a smartphone OS. If you want a phone to surf the net on or write a 100 page essay on then get the X10.
3. The screen is capacitive.
So basically what SE is sayin is that i am a PRO (Professional) when i am opting for a device with a real not virtual Keyboard ?
Thats PRO these days ?
So we all been PRO's till they started dishin' out devices with a Virtual Keyboard? Now we are all Loosers ?
It looks very nice and is probably a great choice for people who want a small phone. The only problem i see is that the internet browsing experience can't be too good with QVGA
On the SE Site it says it has 12mb free memory for apps, that sounds bad!
I am looking forward to this device - it is looking to be exactly what I want. I dont care about data, just a little voice and some text. I want a small phone that isnt a pain in the ass to carry around, and an operating system that lets me tweak and install custom applications - the n900 is too big and winmo6.5 doesnt have the applications I want. To top it off, this little guy has a 3.5mm headphone jack and it looks like it has a cool music integration (hoping to god they put a decent dac and eq on here) and a standard mini usb connection. It has a smooth interface and what the hell - it even has room for a keyboard? It may not be a smartphone, but I will pass on n1 and supersonic for this bugger.
This is a sexy small sweet phone. I just hope any of them will come to AT&T. Com on' Sony bring em X10's to AT&T!!
