HTC HD mini hands-on

HTC's launch today also gives us the HD mini, and, as a result, we're starting to have a problem sticking with a favorite with each post we put up -- really, they're all that nice. Unfortunately for us we didn't have an HD2 to throw down and do a real side by side comparison, but just looking at the pic above and comparing it to any other we've posted and you'll see the difference right away. The display is bright and crisp and the OS was responsive enough -- and with the device set to ship in April, things are looking pretty positive to meet that date -- and while the display doesn't wow like the HTC HD2, it doesn't seem too cramped to be usable. We're digging this mini trend, and hope we catch some more of these at the show. Gallery after the break and a video as soon as we can get one.

@steel Yep, no WVGA, no WP7 for you!
It seems so tiny compared to the HD2...
Cool! it looks like it could even fit in your pocket :)
I was under the impression that HTC's model going forward is to lay SenseUI over both Android and WinMo. If WinMo7 is going to require certain hardware specs with no skinning, doesn't that mean that any HTC WinMo handsets with SenseUI going foward will have to run WinMo 6.5? Or is SenseUI on WinMo basically a dead letter?
@DanteDiablo
More likely they keep it for Android and 6.5 is still supported by MS. I prefer 6.5 for some reason, dont see the greatness in 7 yet.
Video?
They kept the bezel small and the phone thin? Way to got HTC. I swear, these guys are leading the modern smartphone market. No question. If the screensize and the specs are low enough this could fit into the market below the Touch Diamond 2 and give a decent WinMo 6.5 option for lower budget consumers, but it *still* looks like a sexy phone.
This would be a nice replacement fo rthe TP1 if it had a keyboard and WP7. I prefer a phone I can pocket easily but still handle email replies and creation, not to mention viewing office documents.
Looks nice. Reminds me of my HTC Diamond.
Looks nice enough, but frankly, who's going to buy this with WinPho 7 on the way?
