Engadget is live from CeBIT 2010!

That's right friends, we've unpacked the Lederhosen, cameras, and laptops and touched down in Hannover, Germany for CeBIT 2010. We've already heard of quite a few tablets and netbooks crawling around the massive show, but you can expect us to be digging up much more over the next few days. It all officially kicks off tomorrow morning with Intel, ASUS and Acer press conferences, so you can expect some exciting liveblogs and then a boatload of hands-on posts coming your way. In the meantime we'll be mentally preparing by loading up on Nutella and schnitzel!

I want to see plenty of Tegra powered Android tablets plz.
Have fun in Germany Engadget!
@ChazClout I'll be happy with a release date for the dell mini 5.
@look a cow
That would be grand too! +1
@look a cow Yes! +10000000009
@ChazClout
lol, come to Friedrichshafen and pay me a visit, I'll let you eat for free xd
@JoannaStern Lederhosen...pff so cliché. And Wiener Schnitzel already tells you it is austrian food (Wien=Vienna) not german. Nevatheless, have fun in europe :P
will be visiting engadget often
SO close,but can't go...
Just a guess, but I think you'll see some tech stuff while you're there. Let us know! =P
Welcome to Germany, guys. Hope you enjoy it!
I predict Nokia C-Series
http://noknok.tv/2010/02/26/nokia-c-series-launching-at-cebit-next-week/
Little insider tip: Lederhosen won't help you blend in in Hannover...like, not at all.
Can Haz Intel hexa-core Core i7 / i9?
@Ericloewe
hexa core? wouldn't it be easier to stitch two core i7's together lol
@Noswal
That's what they did with the core 2 quads, which are basically two core 2 duos stitched together in a dual-processor fashion, comunicating through the FSB, that's why they had huge amounts of cache, to compensate for that. Nothing beats native quad/hexa/octo core, though
Hey, hope to see you in Hannover this week.
Where to find you? Do you have a Broadcasting-Center like you had on the CES this Year?
Cannot wait for your Hands-On and funny comments. But please do not write to much about Schnitzel and Lederhosen! ;)
Greetz from lower saxony
@LEXtreme Actually they should do that. I'd love to hear what they think about germany cuisine, you hear that CeBit Crew? NO McDonalds for you this week!
is HTC going to be there?
SUPERSONIC anyone?
@liquidmonkey Yeah, HTC will be there.
@Kopfgeldjaeger
HTC!
Enough said. Unless you don't like suspense.
Will you guys still be there on saturday?
Better put those Lederhosen back in the suitcase, you'll look as out of place wearing them in northern Germany as in NY. Or worse, people will think you're Bavarian!
@patsy Hell, it's even wrong to wear them in Bavaria :P
@Kopfgeldjaeger Sorry, couldn't resist a little swipe at my old neighbor state. ;-)
@patsy Jokes about Bavarians are always appropriate, so no problems :)
@Kopfgeldjaeger
"Want to hear a joke?"
"Sure."
"Bavaria."
@patsy Apparently you are unaware that Americans are allowed to be grossly ethnocentric. As far as we'll all concerned, all French people were berets and Sweden's main exports are blond chicks and hot chocolate. Now shut up and get me a bratwurst.
@HardToBelieve OK, to balance things out a bit, since after all they gave us the Ultimate Driving Machine, here's a little Irish joke:
Two Irishmen are leaving a bar.
@anexanhume That's a Currywurst, you insensitive clod!
Haha apparently the US has a pretty poor idea of what northern Germans are all about. Based on the two plus comments saying cool it on the lederhosen and schnitzel.
@RLBurkes Easy now, there's nothing wrong with Schnitzel--esp. after having missed them for two decades in the US! Schnitzel, Spätzle and steamed red cabbage, mmm...
Who is gonna be there? I'll be driving 400 miles friday morning to Hannover.
Driving 250miles on saturday. Gonna be an early morning. But everthing for tech...
@bassti dito
Well, Nutella is Italian and so is the origin of the schnitzel, if not Austrian ;) But who cares, bring on the tech news!
@jlo Was wondering the same thing. What does Nutella have to do with Germany? Nutella is Italian as far as I know. The schnitzel comment is understandable though, but you might even be right about that one.
@Helmore haha beet me to it by 4 mins!
@Helmore haha beat me to it by 4 mins!
@jlo
agree, but still every German has a jar of Nutella at home. So should everyone!
EPIC FAIL
Nutella was developed in Italy and schnitzel is a traditional Austrian dish!
Just call us krauts. We're totally ok with it...
Going there Friday from Holland, unfortunately can't stay the whole week, could have a week entry :(
If you think, Germany is more then "Lederhosen" check out our booth @ hall 6 / A36 ;) -->www.home-pad.com
Nutella is Italian.
Don't forget to check the Next Level 3d area on the hall 16. nVidia is there and some other companies.
