Redesigned LG Watch Phone caught showing off shapely figure in Brazil
LG's £500 ($800) GD910 Watch Phone made quite an impression when we reviewed it late last year, but part of that impression was of a bulky, blocky thing that feels decidedly substantial on the wrist. A subtly redesigned version was spotted recently at the LG Digital Experience in Brazil, sporting a slightly more curvaceous shape and a new logo placement -- up top rather than below the screen. It's hard to tell what (if anything) else has changed, and apparently LG reps weren't forthcoming with information, but with any luck this new version will offer a more affordable price point than its stately but spendy predecessor.

Black with white text and has the same general shape as an IPhone.

What's with LG and their big logo placements? Subtlety has been lost it seems.
@Psy this is a fashion casualty!
far too pricey for a device like this ...I had a second generation watch phone and it was only $220 three years ago why is this one 4 times as much while not offering anything substantially better accept a mainstream manufacturer
This phone needs to come to the U.S. I wouldn't mine buying it cause it's neat looking just like Dick Tracy. Com' on LG bring this watch phone to the U.S.
I like this, I wish there were more watch phones out there, more stylish ones anyways...this is a little too bulky and WAY too expensive for me though.
i am still waiting for the watch industry to catch up here.
why don't have some designer LED watches w/bluetooth speakerphone capabilities? that would be quite useful and geeky! we don't need the phone in the watch, just connect to the phone.
or why not a bluetooth video watch? that'd be like true james bond/dick tracy styled! bluetooth camera/video profile, tiny 2" oled screen and voila! talking to your arm in no time. :)
Is it just me, or does the bit on the left look like its whispering to the bit on the right?
I have never had a good experience with LG products. CHEAP and not very well thought-out. In my opinion, they target fashion tech trends and hold back on delivering on quality and durabilty. LG chocolate: POS.
@craiggger I had one of the first LG TV with a built in DVR was awesome but on ant dark movie like in caves it was black you couldn't even see the actors LG told me it was normal:( NO LG FOR ME
id buy it.
There's a whole slew of cheaper (quality as well as price) watch phones already on the market.

The problem always boils down to how thick and bulky these watches are. If someone innovative could just find a way to offload the battery onto the wrist strap or something, these watches could be made much thinner (and look much better).
Why are they torturing Brazilians with this? Send it to Eastern Europe or Russia where that kind of outrageous hidiousness is in style.
