You know, for all the praise the iPhone has received in its time, we never thought it looked quite
Matrix-y enough. Thankfully, that all-important deficiency has been remedied by a man named Ryan Glasgow up in Portland, who has just started selling the above case to all who care to have one. It's built out of
stainless steel on the outside and silicone padding on the inside, with strategically located cutouts for wireless signals and heat emissions to get through. You can flip the front plate open, turning it into a rather outsized clamshell, or you can just talk with the lid closed, it's all up to you. Aluminum and engraving options (how about "my other phone is a
Vertu"?) are also available with each case costing a slightly spendy $95. See more of it in the gallery below.
iPhone, you're gonna need this case pretty soon when you will be beaten by Android/Google. :)
What's that Model 3 thing on his website?
@DaMaDo
I thin it is a "Tobacco Smoking Appliance" ; )

Oh lol...got it...that's hardcore...
Go Ryan! I have always really like Ryan's work and his perspective on design. He has a thoughtful and exploratory nature that really shows in his creations. I had the opportunity to help him with CNC work on his wooden sunglasses project. I really enjoyed working with the guy.

Great. Spend money to turn your iPhone into a glorified flip phone. Cutouts or not, you're still going to take a hit on reception with a metal enclosure like that. Those thin edges are also bound on something as you pocket this. Buy hey, if you like the style, by all means...
@zgryfx ...also bound to snag on something... and Buy = But
Why can't i edit my comments damnit?!
....and i thought my coworkers incase case scratched up his iphone, this one will def scratch the hell out of the iphone
nice idea, unfortunately the hinges would be murder on my pockets, i would miss every call getting it out. not to mention it's ugly as sin.
this is 100 times better than that awful titanium iPhone you posted on.
I'd buy this thing. In fact, I've got a birthday coming up for such an outlandish looking case
