Engadget's 6th birthday giveaway: 'Gadget of the Year' edition
Yeah, that's right, we're six years old this week. Thanks for noticing, jerks! Actually, we forgot too (it was Tuesday), and to make up for it we're giving away a Motorola Droid, courtesy of Verizon Wireless! The phone was recently selected as the Gadget of the Year both by you, our illustrious readers, and by this rapidly-aging Engadget staff you hold so dear, so we didn't think you'd mind. But that's not all -- the winner of the Droid and 10 lucky runner-ups will also receive one of our fancy new Engadget t-shirts! All you have to do is leave a comment to tell us how much you care (about us, not the environment) and you'll be entered to win. The full instructions and typical rules can be found after the break. Good luck!
The rules:
The rules:
- Leave a comment below. Any comment will do.
- You may only enter this specific giveaway once. If you enter this giveaway more than once you'll be automatically disqualified, etc. (Yes, we have robots that thoroughly check to ensure fairness.)
- If you enter more than once, only activate one comment. This is pretty self explanatory. Just be careful and you'll be fine.
- Contest is open to all residents of the 50 States and the District of Columbia, 18 or older! Sorry, we don't make this rule (we hate excluding anyone), so be mad at our lawyers and contest laws if you have to be mad.
- Winner will be chosen randomly. One winner will win a Motorola Droid and an Engadget t-shirt, 10 other winners will win Engadget t-shirts.
- If you are chosen, you will be notified by email. Winners must respond within three days of the end of the contest. If you do not respond within that period, another winner will be chosen.
- Entries can be submitted until Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 11:59PM ET. Good luck!
- Full rules can be found here.

I come on here every single day,I love waking up to an awesome blog full of news of the stuff I care about, not some political mess, not some biased company, just pure unadulterated Tech news.
You guys do an great job and although I won't win most likely I am very happy with your work over the years.
Droid it!
I remember when you guys posted about a radical new thing called "Podcasting" and you had some weird dude mount a camera to his dog's collar and programmed it to take photos. that was back before my mom had a facebook account and my retired father used a ipod on his Sunday morning walks.
pleaseeeeeee

DROIIIDDDD!!!
uhmmm.. yeah..
Been reading since freshman year in high school. LOVE!
I care enough to let you guys know the following (since this rant is on topic over here)
1. Try to get stories on your website quicker. Sometimes, I notice stories posted at other places few days ago.
2. Give up little bit of your iFanboyism, and use your head while trying to bash other products, like a resistive touch screen ;).
3. I miss the old Engadget which used to have little more technical content in its articles. Now it's all based on marketing BS from the manufacturers, not much technical insight of engadget by itself!
Engadget is one of the main websites that I go to while I am at work. It's tech related and best of all, its constantly updating. Better yet the comments are always fun to read, no matter what the post is over. Without Engadget, I honestly think that my workday would suck a LOT more than it does already. So. Happy Birthday Engadget, stay around for at least another 6 years!
iWant. Wait that's not right.
