@DeFlanko *pmf* give em 4 weeks cause the first i though about when they said the arm processor was 1GHz was jailbreak to run windows xp comon geohot give me a reason to buy this besides a giant itouch screen
Seeing as the iPad is just a huge iPhone, running the same OS; he probably DID send it from his iPad, and they just forgot to change the code for the default sig.
@JamesR As a Apple product lover you were supposed to do at least 3 AT&T subsctiptions : -one for the iPhone -one for your iPad and one for your Mac Book Pro to do serious stuff...
So this means 180$ do do exactly what all others are doing with only 60$
@brandonhd Im mostly going to have to tether to my HTC Magic because I really don't think Rogers is going to be that friendly with the iPad. But you never know!
I love Steve! He's the only CEO with the balls to just be point blank with someone. It was a total slap in the face to see that the person sending the email wrote something nice and long and for steve to be like "no" was awesome.
@JamesR That's a stupid analogy... I don't expect my desktop computer to have internet work at McDonald's or at the local park, do I?
Frankly, the whole tethering thing is pointless anyway. If any of the other phones had more than 1/10 to 1/3 the number of units that iPhone has they'd be locking them out too. I don't think iPhone owners and iPad owners will overlap.... personally the iPhone with it's nearly $100 phone bill (after uncle sam's cut) just isn't for me. I like my plain "stick" Nokia that's just a phone. On the other hand I'm definitely in the market for an iPad that has a REALLY cheap 3G data plan with no contract terms. Where I live and travel AT&T owns 3/4 of the WiFi hotspots and have switched them all to free. Even when they weren't free, if you had "a" AT&T contract you could use any of the hotspots for free. The trickle of data for things like GPS probably won't go over the 250MB cap ($15) anyway.
This would be one of those totally useless Apple postings that we wouldn't need on endgadget. Sure they gave us a way to avoid all Apple stories but that's not what we want. We still want the meat of the Apple news...NOT the Apple vomit that seems to always be lurking on both sides of every legitimate Apple story.
I'm not gonna lie. Engadget readers, and I mean all of them when I state this. Apple fanboys, PC fanboys, iPhone fanboys, Android fanboys, Nokia fanboys, xbox fanboys and PS3 fanboys, all of them, are a pretty witty bunch.
I smiled more than once reading this thread. :P

@(Unverified) iPad has a sim slot like a phone, why would you tether a phone to a phone?
@BratPAQ
You wouldn't. The idea would be to tether a 3G-less iPad to an iPhone.
@BratPAQ
because I like to surf while I surf?
@(Unverified)
Or, don't buy a tablet at all.

So you're not paying $60/month for two data plans on the same network.

It is funny that via the WiFi, you CAN tether the iPad to a Windows Moble Phone, or an Android phone.
Just not an Apple phone.

@ohnoitsaspider The iphone can do that but can the iPhone plug into the ipad is the question.
@BratPAQ And on another note, the iPad isn't a phone. It can't make calls on the voice network.
