VU Meter finagled into a PSP, reminds us of a time when the PSP was sexy

Sure, the PSP is still a mighty attractive piece of hardware. "Handsome," you might say, but that heart-pounding allure is all but gone these days. While we wait a few more years for Sony to rectify that with a PSP 2, we can drool over another mod by "f00 f00." This time he's managed to squeeze a working VU Meter onto the back of the ever-moddable machine. Sure, it's not a revolution in the world of PSP hacking, but it's impressive and somehow comforting in its own we-guess-the-PSP-is-still-pretty-cool sort of way. Video is after the break.

@Flacofromny23 I have an iPod Touch and I love it for its games (more use than my DS in that respect), yet I still turn to my PSP whenever I want to play any kind of serious game. No-one can deny that nigh on all iPhone games are very shallow (albeit sometimes still very good) compared to their 'console' counterparts.

Not played anything that comes close to WipEout or God of War or Ratchet and Clank or Syphon Filter or Burnout or Daxter or LocoRoco or Ridge Racer or Motorstorm or Gran Turismo or Killzone or Medal of Honor or Patapon or LittleBigPlanet or whatever else...

I agree in that1 100% I just turn my psp today to play Dante's inferno(my psp is hack which mean free games so is my iPod touch n my iPhone) but I do think the iPhone/iPod has got b/w the people n psp but like in terms of good games n graphics I think the iPhone ain't that far from the psp at all(god of war is fantastic best game I ever played in my 23 years old) hope dante's inferno is good too. Anyway time to play dante's next game AC2

foo foo is not that great a hacker/modder. I once asked him if it were possible to hook up a pager motor to the sound mod and the asshole decides to take the credit for himself/herself. anyways I bet this was someone else's Idea first. Foo Foo is a faker and should never be given credit for any of these mods.
