Nikon D90 torn down, rebuilt in pink (video)
Words... what good are words when you're trying to describe the horrific visage of a growling, rugged, heavyweight camera coated in the frilly tutu of the color spectrum, magenta? We shan't try to describe the peculiar mix of revolt, disgust and subtle desire that this whole thing incites in us, and will just point you after the break for the video. There's plenty of good clean fun to be had while exploring the dismantled D90 (though there's one instance of foul language when the modder gets an electric shock, understandable) and if you're of a nervous disposition you can always skip the shockingly pink finale.

Camera: "Kill Me... Killlll Meeeeee..."
Fugly as hell. How anyone can smile with such a camera pointed at them bewilders me.
@Bervick You're kidding, right? Smiling, smirking, and laughing are about all anyone could do with that thing pointed at them.
After saving money for many months, I finally got my D90 two days ago. I feel like the need to hide it in my closet away from the psycho who would do such a thing to any device, much less a fairly expensive DSLR.
Atrocities against electronics. Engadget needs a section for such things.
that video is amazing
"Free Screw"
...
"no not like that"
LOLOLOL
Look, this is what colorware is for. What a travesty. The guy didn't even have the most rudimentary skills at spray-painting or masking. I -=winced=- every time he held the can.
that was pretty hillarious!! The only thing that would have shocked him is the flash capacitor....and once it was discharged it wouldn't pop again. I worked in a photolab way back in the days of disposable film cameras and we used to pop the capacitors with screwdrivers....they give off almost 10,000 volts and will knock you to the floor if your not careful!! Pretty impressive from a AA battery!
Or he could have just gone out and ordered a suitably coloured Pentax K-x direct from the factory.
I don't get why he dismantled the camera?
Why didn't he just mask off areas he didn't want painted.
I mean he did mask some areas.
Maybe I'm reading too much into this and the whole idea was to dismantle the camera so that he could get a hit off the cap as a joke.
btw this Nikon D90 is fully working now!! hahaha
